Just to put it into perspective at the same age Owen scored 23 from 40 games and Fowler had scored 18 goals in 34 games.

How often is he actually played as a striker? He usually plays on the right for both Arsenal, and has done so for England in both his starts. Not really fair to compare him to Owen and Fowler then.
