Yet he didn't play as a forward tonight so your point is....well...pointless

He is one of out attacking players yet he is a woeful attacker, a better defender than he is an attacker.

Not only works his bollix off, but rarely gives away possession, shuts up shop down the right hand side, is always available for the ball, can trap a ball with ease and gives better and better service with each game played ...

Have to say, I think even the most ardent Kuyt fan would question the use of the word 'sublime'!!! I wonder if Nicey knows what it actually means?
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Sublime? Not really. And the audacity to call anyone who disagrees with that a 'muppet' too The irony.

Think he started off pretty well for the first 20/30 minutes and was involved in our best play, after that like Mascher he faded due to not being able to keep up his work rate.

Well Nicey has already been called up for calling him sublime at least 3 times, if you go over board you will get called up over it. Course if its negative it will be worse, but if you dont go ranting or overboard then I think its pretty even.
Kuyt is a great team player and helps those around him and really tortures the other teams defenses when they have the ball. To call him sublime or to call him a useless donkey will get people to respond.

Yeah, he's clearly neither. I'm obviously not a huge fan but he's far from being a useless donkey ffs.

So he was definitely needed last night, cos for large parts of it it was backs against the wall stuff.

I'd rather have an attacker who can attack.... how many defenders do we need? We already use to two holding midfielders and a box to box midfielder in attack.

Gerrard wasn't exactly box to box last night, he was playing the support role behind Torres...Kuyt is there tolink with the overlapping fullback, and that will mean helping cover back as well as getting forward. In the same way that Babel, when out on the left, was still found sliding in and conceding a corner when needed. It's just whinge after whinge with you, you're like a bloody dog with a bone, and won't let go.

I am only interested in us playing good football and having players in the pitch that are good enough to play that kind of football. I am consistent in demanding that at least. It has nothing to do with just tracking back but more to do with quality in the position that someone plays.. playing wide right should mean good crossing, scoring goals, beating a man etc before we look at tracking back...

Think I would leave Kuyt on the bench this weekend and see how Torres, Babel, Keane and Riera play together. Keep him nice and fresh for Everton coming up.
