And if Rafa doesn't decide this, will you then rate him, or will you continue to use Kuyt as a stick to beat your hated manager with?

I'm only interested in winning - playing good football has really benefited Arsenal in the last couple of years hasn't it??Originally posted by Rashid View PostI am only interested in us playing good football and having players in the pitch that are good enough to play that kind of football. I am consistent in demanding that at least. It has nothing to do with just tracking back but more to do with quality in the position that someone plays.. playing wide right should mean good crossing, scoring goals, beating a man etc before we look at tracking back...

Another win at a difficult away ground, with Kuyt starting and getting another assist and several key passes which may have led to goals. Indeed Kuyt contributed in nearly all of our best attacking movements. This coupled with his usual, unselfish team work shows why he is such a valuable asset to the team.

Yup I thought he was one of our best players in the first 30 minutes, he seemed to tire very quickly after that. Would like to see him start from the bench on Saturday and come on against tired legs, normally after 60 minutes he has run the defenders ragged but is pretty fecked himself. Let him blow all his energy in 30 minutes and see how it goes.Originally posted by DeeTheDog View PostIndeed Kuyt contributed in nearly all of our best attacking movements. What are you thoughts of the assist against the scum that lead to a miss hit shot going into the net.
If he had not made the passes we wouldnt have scored either.
Just on the merits of Kuyt, he is all over the pitch, several times he was in the left back position clearing the lines. His stamina and unselfish commitment to the team are undeniable

I think you'll find a pass that leads to a goal is an assist, be it 5 or 50 yards. He also set-up the preceding shot from Gerrard and the chance for Babel at the start.Originally posted by ShaggyAlonso View PostI have to say calling a 5 yard square pass that leads to a 30 yard wonder goal an 'assist' is fairly amusing. That coupled with the assist for the winner against United and the goal that meant we were in the Champions' League proper. Not bad for a workhorse, who if you believe some on here contributes little or nothing but workrate.

I bet we wouldn't be praising him if Man U had equalised after he missed that easy chance on Saturday towards the end of the game
Personally I like the guy. It's not his fault he's played out of position for the majority of his LFC career. From what i remember in his first season up front he scored a decent number of goals for a first season
