You come skipping gleefully into a Kuyt thread to use a slightly inaccurate five yard pass as an example of Kuyt's worth to the side. I think you sound a bit desperate, that's all.
Hugely patronising, then you follow with "You come skipping gleefully into a Kuyt thread."

Firstly, this is a forum, if I feel I have something to contribute, I post. I made three valid points about Kuyt's contibution to the game, to which you seized on one point; the assist. I responded to that comment, in which you felt hugely patronised and made your flimsy argument, all the while trying to turn this into a personal issue, hurling thinly veiled insults under some psuedo-intellectual, "I am student, ain't I clever remarks, with quotes. I think he has done okay for his first few games. He will have to improve for me to be rigt, but I do expect him to adjust. Being in the starting XI for Italy in mid week and for us Marseille will have done him the world of good.

He has quality crossing but he needs to use his frame and be a bit more physical in his marking. If he can sort that out and get used to how we play then he'll be fine. If you remember i pre-season he was constantly getting caught out as he didn't know when to attack and wehn to defend. He has already improved a great deal.
        Forwards.......

In that clip posted, Kuyt looks like an extremely composed and confident finisher. I just wonder what he would do now if he was in the box. He seems to look for others rather than taking a chance himself, sometimes thats a good thing like against United and yesterday however when he does get himself into advanced positions, he should take a chance, he does seem to have a powerful right foot.

Do you actually say that at the start of a sentence in real life?

Yep, when saying something that may go slightly against the grain - although it would probably manifest itself as "I've gotta say...".

                  This is interesting isn't it.

Still, it's light years from being as smug and patronising as "I think you'll find..."

He is not a finisher at the end f the day. Finishers play through there barren spells and take the chances at all times, knowing they will eventually come through the other side. Butthen they don't bring anything to the table other than goals, so if they're not scoring they are a waste. Kuyt does offer more than goals thankfully.

Though I am still not a fan of his, he has done wll enough so far this season.

You probably sound like Andy Gray saying 'I've gotta say..'

Not in my accent pal, not in my accent.

Besides, he's more of a "I have to say" man.

                            I agree with you here

Kuyt is the perfect squad player, but if given a blank cheque even Rafa would invest in a WC right sided player, no doubt.

Kuyt IMO will end up being a legend at LFC because he will give 100% + when he plays and do what he should when he isn't. Perfect squad player.
Nah. He won't win the Prem. You can quote me on that. - Sarb24

I can't say either phrase without adopting a really nerdy voice in my head

Where I think Kuyt fails in a lot of peoples minds is that does he give that sort of dedication, desire when he plays against a so called lesser side? We all say Kuyt is the man for the big occasion, in terms of performance, yes he is, however what the fans would like to see is that he scores against these so called lesser sides to make up for the performance that he may lack.
