I'm pretty sure, that in case Agger had been on the bench, when Masch had to be taken out, then it would have been him, not Sami, comming on.

By the way - it was pure luck, that Rafa did notice in time to stop the 4th. official (or did he??) so Masch could come off .... (although I'm sure N'gog would have been a real threat for a third goal).

These malicious rumours regarding Agger are obviously false - why else would Rafa risk dropping Hyypia from the Champions League squad?

Yet we still have fools even on this thread making jokey comments about it

What and throw Agger on with no premiership match experience this season?

"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."

I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

I thought it was interesting that the team went to 3 centre backs against ManUre (albeit only for about 7 minutes) but it seemed to know immediately what to do. I wonder......

Don't know why rumours are continually spread about this guy by Liverpool fans. Joke

                    Agree Parm

How funny were Rafa's efforts in trying to stop the 4th official? I thought he was going to wrestle him to the ground at one point!!

                    Rafa!

Sami is better dealing with long balls, at the end thats all United could muster in the hope of a late goal.

Is correct, I think, when they put Vidic up front (before his red card) it made perfect sense to bring on BIG SAMI

Danish newspaper Ekstra Bladet yesterday ran a piece under the headline "Agger can buy himself out of the contract for 27 mill (DKR)".

Agger is quoted saying that he has not received any new contract proposal from the club, that he aware of the Webster ruling and that he has no further comments.

Just to add to the mix:
Found this on .no, who found in the daish paper Ekstra Bladet

                              Usikkerhet rundt Aggers fremtid

Agger can buy himself out of the contact in january, for approx. £2.7M.
The rule that comes into play here is the "Webster-rule". The a player is younger than 28 when he signs a contract he can pay himself out of after three years, recardless of the length of the contract.
So basically he`ll be offered a new contact soon, or he can start looking elsewhere. The the article indicates that this might happend, but Aggers only comment is that he knows about the rule.

Not giving him a new contract would be crazy IMO.

If there was more to it, then Agger would have been left out of the CL squad and not Hyypia
