    Let's slaughter Stoke

Caution to the wind time, let's spank the cunts.

    ----------Torres-Keane
    Riera--------Gerrard------Babel
    -------------Alonso
    Dossena--Skrtle--Carra--Arbeloa
    --------------Reina

    My team would be:

    ---------------Reina---------

    Degen---Carra----Skrtel-----Dossena

    --------------Alonso----------------

    --Babel-------Gerrard-------Riera-----

    ----------Torres------Keane

Arbeloa is due a rest and I think we can afford to give Degen his first start. You could make a case for bringing Sami in to deal with their only weapon - the enormous long throw - but I'd stick with Skrtel.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

          ---------reina-----------
          --------carra---------
          -------masher-------
          ------alonso-------
          babel-gerard-benni-riera--
          kyut-----torres---keane

          all out attack!!!!!

          or seriously:

          -----------------reina---------------
          degen----agger-------skrtel------dossena
          -----------alonso---plessis-------------
          gerard------------------------babel
          ----------torres----keane---------

give degen, agger, plessis a chance for 1st team football in a game we really should have no probs winning whilst letting masher, arbeloa, carra, kyut get some well earned rest for everton game.

            Why rest Torres ?

Good chance for him to find a bit of form, fitness and a goal or two, surely ?

We can rest him next week against Crewe in the League Cup.

I think we can all agree Mascherano can take a deserved rest and sit this one out, no?

I'm just worried about a hamstring tear that's apparently fully healed in 2-3 weeks and with everton and city away coming up, i'd rather not risk him in a game at home to Stoke, who we should beat with our eyes closed.

I've not been keen on Rafa's rotation over the last couple of years, but for Stoke at home, i would fully understand if he rested Torres and Gerrard.

Aurellio in place of Dossena.Rest Kuyt and play with Riera and Babel on the wings as wingers.

I remember us being of a similar opinion before the Birmingham game last season, and look what happened. Rafa got slaughtered for it too.

Brum were better than Stoke though. They had PL experience and were capable of being solid and compact. Stoke are shipping goals for fun.

And in all honesty, that 0-0 draw wasnt Rafa's fault, he picked a team capable of winning easily.

That Birmingham game was the single worst football match I've ever attended.

                            Nothing happened. Seriously. Nothing.

                            Utter ****e.

It couldn't have been a tear and besides, if there was any doubt about him Rafa wouldn't have risked him tonight.

He's fit. But needs games and goals.
