If we look at the results so far this season, we have 10 points from 4 games (including the all-important win over the Scum). If we beat Stoke, 13 points from 5 games looks very good indeed, and puts us on course if we could keep it up for a 95 point season! The only downside in the results so far in the league is the draw with the Villa, a fixture we won last year. However, I think that pales in comparison with the win against Shrek and company, which has to boost the squad's morale immensely. Plus the win in Marseille which wasn't pretty, but showed a lot of character. managers like to say they're taking the season one game at a time, well comparing results with last year, we're doing alright. All in all, we should be very happy so far. Quiet confidence is the prevailing mood.

Yup will be interesting to see just how good we can get when the players are in form. Still winning while only playing at about 60%, fingers crossed some team is in for a total tanking soon.Originally posted by dom9 View PostThe trouble is, the team have only played anywhere near well in one game so far - against the scum.
We have to improve otherwise silly points will be dropped.

I have said before that I think the way that ourselves and United set up the team is always likely to take a while to 'click'. This season we have also had the Olympics and all sorts of off field bull**** to deal with. We are in points terms at least ahead of where I thought we might be and we have been steadily improving the peaks of our in game performances. I really feel the season has been progressing well.Originally posted by Woobus View PostYup will be interesting to see just how good we can get when the players are in form. And in Riera we could finally have that wide player
we always seem to have a good run at the end of the season - ironically could be due to rotating at the start.
this season might be able to rotate good players so recon we have as much a chance as the others for PL.Its times like these we learn to live again FF

Its a telling stat and one that can't be argued with. We've made a positive start points wise and that can only improve as our form does.Looking forward to what this season may bring.
I often wonder why the likes of Rage,Sarb and Rashid actually support (and I use that term loosely) Liverpool FC.From their postings on here it seems this brings them nothing but pain and leaves them deeply pessimistic. It must be horrible to wake up everyday and see only bad things in something thats supposed to bring you joy.
