we didnt have the dough to spend mate especially for imo a vastly over rated player that is no spring chicken yet has managed to elude all the top clubs

I was skeptical to signing Keane, and in the process breaking up the very successful partnership that had developed between Torres and SG, never mind Keane's price. I still am.

We needed a striker though, and it is still early....but I am still confused why Rafa did this. It looks like a very costly mistake.

His poor first touch, lack of composure in front of goal and his lack of pace/acceleration was commented upon when the link first surfaced, so it comes as no surprise to me.
