rORotation works wonders when you're manager of the Mancs or Chavs when you've got players like Anelka, Cole, Hargreaves, Nani, Rooney, Scholes etc on the bench. All top quality and equally capable of doing the job like the starting 11. However, when you're rotating in players like Pennant, Yossi, Lucas, Voronin for the likes of Torres, Gerrard, Mascher etc, it don't quite cut it I'm afraid

Rotation works if you've got quality on the bench. We didn't have that and that's why it didn't work

Another thread suggests Rafa might be risking the lose of a great player in D Agger by not playing him. Rotation of defensive players might not be all bad????

And it's all about giving some players a chance to stake their claim and allow them to push on and develop. Rafa has shafted the ones who couldn't sustain the level of performance required game in game out. He's dealt with the under performers well, more, he's done it brilliantly.

And straight after that he said, he didn't need to rotate because of there being 4 games between games.

I don't think rotation is as buried as you all seem to believe. The squad is just too big not to rotate.

It's not rotation that i have a problem with. 2 or 3 changes is ideal.

When it gets to 5, 6 or even 7, between every game, that's when it becomes ridiculous and counter productive.

You've got to rotate to an extent. But what I am saying is that you don't rotate for the sake of it and it doesn't work if you've not got the quality there in reserve which we never had before. That's why this argument that we finish well at the end of the season has been a bit flawed in the past. What's the point when due to incorrect rotations in september or october, you're out of the title race anyway.

No Mori, NOW we are seeing Liverpool through the eyes of Benitez. Slowly but surely we are becoming more and more similar to his Valencia team and it's quite clear that Benitez still uses his Valencia team as his blueprint. The way we closed and harassed the scum down is exactly what "the crushing machine" was famous for. All we need is consistency and maybe 1 or 2 more World class signings (wide players) and no. 19 could finally be coming Home.

Mori was right. It was 05/06 when we had Kewell on the left for the last 3/4's of the season and we had balance. Kewell wasn't brilliant but he was consistent, stayed wide, maintained possession and kept the ball going forward. We scored 82 points that season and broke records in consistency.

Mori was right and IMO if Harry could of stayed fit, even 80% fit, we would have had much better results over the last 2 seasons.
