I think the reason that Kuyt "appears" to be creating space for other players is simply that, A) he is in fact trying to get on the end of the ball but his positioning is so awful that it's easier to assume it's deliberate and planned. or B) he's trying to stay as far away from the ball as possible in the box as he knows full well that his firts touch and finishing are pitiful.

All that bollocks about working hard, winning the ball, passing it to a team mate is surely prerequisites of a footballer and could be written about any of our squad??

That said, if you're after a completely biased article on a player written by someone who is probably a bigger fan than the president of the dirk kuyt fan club then you probably enjoyed the read.

you're a clown arent you. dragging of players away is something all forwards work on in training and exactly what he did at everton last weekend. you cannot deny that. to say its because he's basically retarded shows that you're the one who's biased here.

the writer acknowledges that kuyt's not a top scorer of goals which is our only real issue with him isnt it. the article then asks, 'so what does he bring and why is he in the first team?' the article is clearly about looking for positives in him and the effect he has on our play. so why do you then think its biased? positives are the point of the article ffs.
