Just bought it this morning and cant put it down. I am half way through it already. What a honest assessment he has of his time at liverpool from the evans era to the houllier era. I like his assessment of westerveld and the flops of 2002. He also makes you think twice about the impact Houllier has on the club and a lot of fans (Me included) just think of his final 2 years in charge when in fact he turned the club around.

He also mentions in his book the players in the Evans era who took the piss out of Ronnie Moran. Being young at the time it did not really understand what went on at the club at the time but if i ever met any of those ****ers i would split in their face for the attitude they had towards the club. Collymore more than anyone.

He also mentions when he asked Barnes if he was taking a pen and Barnes replied with "not a chance we are a ****ing disgrace" and just shook his head. think that tells us the state of the club before Houllier took over.

So far the book is 10 out of 10.

Nice one...would luv to know if he mentions the time he allegedly slapped Gerrard at the Euro's when he was about to defect to Chelsea ??

I've just finished it and it's one of the best autobiographies i've read, very engaging and i too struggled to put it down.

All autobiographies are called 'honest' but this one really is. Excellent read.

I don't think he did himself any favours with the Lucas Neill Trafford Centre story though.

I agree with that is something which you do not put in a book. I was a little disappointed with that part of the book as it makes him come across quite vengeful for something that happened on the pitch. Not a good example to set for any up and coming footballer to read.

Was quite entertaining, a much better read than Gerrard's for sure. Not many revelations I thought, and the best parts of the book were the ones that were serialised in the newspapers. Collymore came across as a cock for sure. Carra also clearly has a lot of respect for Houllier, although he also highlights how much Ged lost his way after the illness (even referring team selections to Owen and Gerrard).

excellent book, I never finished Gerrard's as got bored and found Robbie's a bit too "I'm a working class lad" (he kept mentioning it every 2 pages) I liked Carra's honesty and to be fair he knows he looks a bit of a tit at times in it, for footy players autobiographies it's right up there with Cascarino's which is the best I've read

If you want to read a good autobiography then read Tommy Smith's. Any self respecting Liverpool fan should read the tale of an amazing career.

If it's revelations you want then Simth's book has them. His tale of Hughes before an Arsenal game is shocking.

This man played under Shankly and Paisley. He's been there, done that now written the book. Absolutely fabulous read.

There is. It was whilst he was manager at Porto. It was well known he was (and maybe still is) a big LFC fan. He apparently wanted the challenge of taking Liverpool back to the top.
