    January (Early)

Okay.. I've been sitting around bored and got to thinking.

    Lets say that..

We are not affected too seriously by the credit crunch as everybody thinks, we are in a good looking position to push of for a genuine title challenge.

Also lets say that our owners either sell up or take note of out performance and decide that a little extra cash may help to push us over the finish line.

Who would you like to bring in and sell ?

    Mine would be-

    Out:

    Jermaine Pennant
    Charles Itandje
    Yossi Benayoun

    In:
    Gutierrez
    Aguero
    Marcelo

I would follow that up with the sale of either Dossena if not improved or Aurellio in the summer. I would also consider bids for Lucas and Kuyt, although it would take a nice bid to lure Kuyt away.

Benayoun out? No way man. IMO he's the perfect squad player, with no little ability. He was excellent at City and played a part in our win. It'd take a very tasty bid to lure him away if I were in charge.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

Yeah, i'd keep Yossi too. He adds something and losing him would be losing something we'd miss.

Signing one of the very best players in Europe during the January window doesn't really happen!

                  just to wind you up.

Obviously at the time he wasnt a world star, which I think Aguero now is, so I get your point.

if we're still in the title chalenge come january, i wouldn't change the team too much. if a squadie left(pennant the only one likely imo), i'd consider replacing him with a squadie, or just give the youth a go.

Is this a joke? Agree with the others about Yossi being a valuable squad member, also Dossena? Do we give players just one year to prove themselves these days. Did Arsenal get rid of Henry after one year or the scum get rid of that Portuguese fairy? Are we going to sell Keane as well then if we go by you rationility?!! As for Kuyt lets give the guy a break, he's in the starting 11 of a Liverpool team that have got off to their best ever Premiership start. Early days I know, but if it ain't broke don't fix it. As for you wish list lets get Messi as well as Aguero, Buffon as back up for Pepe and hey I hear Tevez might be looking fo a new club too.

The credit crunch might actually kill us, not pass us by, UEFA speak of throwing debt ridden clubs out of the champions league, look no further than Liverpool football club for a prime suspect.

I think we will not sign anyone, at most another out and out striker, we are looking good and should keep the shape of the team. Maybe a few kids though as usual.

Platini hates us. He'd love to throw us out of Europe. He even said 'Do you want in Liverpool an Arab sheikh as president' the other day. If he's a liverpool fan does it matter what race he is?
