Bellers had a poor game on saturday but really, all he hasnt done for the team is put the ball into the net. He work rate is excellent. He never stops running and closing people down, he is basically a **** to play against. He is doing most things right except put the ball in the net. It was exactly the same last year with Crouch. He did everything right except score. we kept him in the team knowing that dropping him may well have a reverse effect. Im 99.9% certain that once Bellamy scores 1/2 then he will be out and Crouch and Fowler will be back.

You are putting words into my mouth again, i never said anything like keep him in the team to keep the squad happy.Originally posted by carheexi kind of see your point, but it's told only from Bellamy's point of view.
shouldn't all players be treated the same? we've got 2 other options (fowler and crouch) who aren't getting much action at the minute. they've done as much, if not more, to justify a place in the starting XI. is it OK that they get benched or played in lesser games? is forcing them out of the club ok, as long as bellamy's happy?
i really don't understand your logic in keeping the team strong and squad happy. enlighten me...
the reason Bellamy is in the team is because of what he offers on the pitch, in his case the biggest asset he has over all of the other strikers is pace, he is also quite agressive. That is why rafa picks him, he has said asmuch himself. Rafa is also trying to forge a partnership, one which can bring different things.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
'Take that poof bandage off, and what do you mean YOUR knee, it's LIVERPOOL'S knee !'
"Sorry, boss, I should have kept my legs together," said Lawrence. "No, Tommy, your mother should have kept her legs together!," replied Shankly.

I'd have thought that "goals" was a bigger attribute than pace. Could be wrong I s'pose....

Have a word with Rafa, and see what happensOriginally posted by carheexI'd have thought that "goals" was a bigger attribute than pace. Could be wrong I s'pose....
I am stating why he is in the team, personally i would have played Robbie and Crouch more, but its not my pick. But I can see why Rafa likes Bellamy despite him not finding the net more than once so far.Bill shankly to Tommy Smith after he'd turned up for training with a bandaged knee:
