ITs bollocks ive lived in the city my whole life and there are more reds from my experiences, school was about 60% reds, and everywhere i have worked there has been about 60% in favour of us. If Everton had so many fans in this city then why do they never sell out, now that is certainly no ****ing myth, Everton fans claim it is but its not they usually are a few thousand at least below attendance.

[Ian Faith]I think it's fair to say Everton's appeal is more selective.[/Ian Faith]
            .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Lived and worked in the city all my 42 years and I'd say it's 50/50. Iv'e got roughly an even spread of Reds & Blues amongst my mates, colleagues and relatives. It wouldn't surprise me if there were more Reds amongst the youth of the city. Possibly down to the Gerrard craze of a couple of years ago.

Don't live in Liverpool but whenever I've visited I've rarely seen a blue shirt.

                Never been to Kirby mind.
This is an interesting observation. Footy shirts on grown men look ridiculous anyway and most of Everton's support is amongst the older generations within the city. They've never worn replica shirts and never will along with a lot of city-born reds of an older age group. Do any local reds actually own and wear replica shirts? I thought they were for kids and OOTs.

some great points fella especially the replicas on grown men

but tbf bitter and reds (adults) do wear them
and to say most of the bitter supporters are older is not true

I don't necessarily disagree with your views about replica shirts, however on my occasional visits I have always seen loads of red shirts but almost no blue ones. Don't think they can all be OOT's like me.
