That's so true.

I can give you the whole show to listen to again if you want to find out what Marcotti saidOriginally posted by Neil Young View PostDid anyone hear 5Live last night? I switched on for about a minute to hear Marcotti banging on about how defensive we would be tomorrow (he could be right) and how Rafa would make sure we got all our players behind the ball. David Pleat or Graham Taylor (I forget which but they're much the same
) then broke in and said, "I hate this simplistic stuff [or words to that effect] about getting all your players behind the ball. You play as a team. When you've got the ball you attack as a team and when you don't you defend as a team..." I had to switch off then but I'd love to know what Marcotti (yawn) said afterwards.
I certainly would rather listen to analysis by ex-managers than ex-players and, especially, journalists. Current managers though are generally too polite - they have to be managers who won't get another job so they can be relatively honest.
Of course some of them aren't polite - for instance, Redknapp about Capello or Allardyce about Rafa - but you can't help thinking they have a grudge.

To be honest I don't want the whole show. Can't you just tell me what he said?Originally posted by Ben Tover View PostI can give you the whole show to listen to again if you want to find out what Marcotti said

Go on then, give me the link, please..
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
