Looking good for him so far, but players take time to settle and should be given a chance. I've seen more than one person complain about Keane, those who were praising his signing at the start. But whilst Barry was on the left in the first game, he was in the centre for the second game. As Alonso is a central player Barrys performances in the centre are what should be considered.

So Xabi should be, he's playing very well and deserves to be in the team. As he deserves to be in the LFC team in fact.

FWIW, my opinion on Barry has not changed, I think he is a very good player and would have done a good job for us. It just so happens that a Xabi at his peak is better. I never denied that, I just thought he would have to leave England for Spain or Italy to get his form back. I was wrong.

To be fair, Rafa said all along he would only sell Alonso at the right price, so maybe the asking price was higher than £14m.

ah it wasnt really the price of xabi, but more the price of Barry, just thought he was well over priced and that we would be getting in an inferior player at an inflated cost.
