I'd like to see Keane/Babel together. Babel is an excellent alternative to Torres. If Keane isn't fit as well, put Kuyt and Babel up front and add Benayoun on the right.

I don't want Gerrard in the supporting striker role for this game.

Very nervous about tonight, as always lately! Im caving in already with the pressure of expectation this year.

Every single game feels like a cup final against a World History XI. In my head Crouch and Defoe are as dangeour as Eusebio and Pele. Every team just feels like a huge threat and a potential banana skin. It's nerve-wracking stuff.

Normally once the game starts I have settled down and realised that we will **** them, but the days leading up to the game always end up in blind panic.

If we win tonight it will be a phenomenal 26 points out of 30, with United and Chelsea already put to the sword. It all just seems too good to be true. Are we really challenging? Wake me up because I must be dreaming

Could be a smart move, Gerrard is not as effective as a support striker against teams that sit back a lot

Then again, Babel is also more of a counter attack player.

          Tough one this

How can you forget your coat when the only reminder you need is walking out of your house in the morning and it being ****ing freezing?

I know!! - completley forgot i was going - got up this morning late as usual rushed to get ready and drove to work - got here and got a call of my mate asking what time I will be at his after work - basically it's our usual plan cause it's pointless me driving all the way home if going the game - he lives about 5 mins from my work and right next to hamilton square station - so we can be in town/pub by the ground by 6pm - if i was too drive home i wouldn't get too mine till 6pm

anyway - i'm ****ed haha - might race home on my lunch and get some clothes etc - in fact i am taking our big boss to manchester airport about 2ish so I can go on to mine on way back.

              haha - ****ing die otherwise.

Babel is looked at in this way because he's got great pace, but the guy is a good finisher as well and has improved his ball control under pressure.

He was really good against Chelsea.

He did a good job Sunday, but Chelski weren't exactly "parking the bus" in front of our goal when he came on. Would be nice to see him doing a good job if he gets the chance as a striker today.

any chance of this being called off due to weather ???
"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

no - it's still bright here - i'm looking out over the mersey and it's pretty clear day. And the pitch is well protected and drains well so no problems

We can't afford to slip up in this game. After beating the Chavs at the weekend we need another 3 points, anything less and i'll be really dissapointed.
We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.
