I think a RW would be my priority signing. Someone who could alternate with Kuyt and allow the Dutchman to play upfront in case of injuries.

I'd also like a new RB as Arbeloa has never fully convinced me but I can't see that happening until the summer.

Hes decent but dodgy and I certainly wouldnt spend more than 10 mill on him. Hes the spanish Micah Richards, potentially great but not quite there just yet.

thank god there is someone else who thinks that sergio ramos is absolute wank. He is so crap its untrue but because he plays for real madrid he is the darling of the madrid press and can do no wrong. No positional sense, cant defend, cant pass but he does have a good engine. I think arbeloa is a more rounded player but there's not much in it.

I dont think rafa will have the funds available for any top signings without having to sell players first. So pennant, benayoun, degen and hyypia could all find themselves surplus to requirements come jan.

Tuncay from Boro. He impresses me everytime I watch him. He never stops running and is good technically and seems versatile and if the price was right he would be a good addition imo.

If we got a good chunk of money then Kuba and Suarez would be good options.

Agreed that Tuncay is a very good player. I've had a keen eye on him for a while, as he used to be a perennial thorn in my side on Footy Manager.... Always signed for Arsenal and always scored hat-tricks against me.

As has been said he has plenty of technical ability (witness that turn at Anfield this season), allied with a great work rate, and is comfortable up front, off a front man or wide.

Not sure I think we should try to sign him but I suppose he could be a Kuyt type player for us.

Jonas Gutierrez. Why didn't Rafa go for him? Very versatile, quick, decent delivery, work horse, speaks English and Spanish.

HMMM good question this. Have not give it any thought TBH but i think we need an out and out right winger which would allow Kuyt to more back up top as we have all seen how good he is when he plays there. Maybe a new RB unless Degan gets fit. If we get a Right wingers we will not nee to buy another striker as Kuyt will hold the ball up well also.
