Our record at WHL is utter turd. If we can get a result there given the fact they will be playing with high levels of confidence and belief (as are we), it will go a long way towards establishing our credentials as challengers for the title this year.
It's easy to distract fat people. It's a piece of cake.

      Eh??

      2004-05 - 1-1
      2005-06 - 0-0
      2006-07 - 1-0
      2007-08 - 2-1

Two wins and two draws in the last 4 seasons does not constitute being utter turd at WHL!!!!

Go back a bit further than the last 4 years and you'll see what I mean

That's not exactly true. His teams seem to capitulate against us. I remember two 4-0 wins against Portsmouth in the last 2 years.

This is not Harry's team either, they lack the physical presence in midfield and athletic players around the pitch. They don't have enough steel about them, Gerrard, Alonso and Mascher should be able to overrun their midfield with Riera and Kuyt harrasing their fullbacks.

On paper we should be able to camp in their half.

We should win this game, Harry or no Harry, we're miles better than Spurs.

Tottenham: Gomes, Hutton (Gunter 79), Corluka, Woodgate, Assou-Ekotto, Bentley, Modric, Jenas, Huddlestone, Bale (Lennon 55), Pavlyuchenko (Bent 65).
Subs Not Used: Cesar, Zokora, Campbell, O'Hara.

The team against Arsenal. We really should field our strongest team and try and outmuscle and outpower them.

My mate who supports Spurs in work is extremely confident the idiot He's gone full circle in a week, the last few times they have lost he has called in sick the next day

I think if we play well we'll murder them, they're still utter tripe and Gomez is having an absolute nightmare for them, just keep pinging in the crosses and he'll just keep dropping them at Torres/Keanes feet!

Really hope we play Riera in this one from the start, he'll be a handful for them.

So what tactics should we use?
Should we try to overrun them from the start or sit back and for first 15 mins and then turn up the tempo?
I think they way we play now will work pretty good in a match like this. They will start with high spirit and look to score. Defensivly I think we can handle them, and then hit them fast on the break. They`ll probably run as crazy in the begining, so if can move the ball around they will get tired.
One of the things I like with the way we play now is that we change our approach to the attacks during the game. Sometimes we move very fast forward, with with accurate long ball from Gerrard, Xabi, Agger and Reina. In the next attack we might build up slow from back, to draw them away for their goal.
If we`re able to contain them the first 15 - 20 mins I think we`ll win this. And If they score early on, that hasn`t stopped us so far this season.

If we setup like we did against Chelsea we should win this one, but I'm worried that players might think so as well. If Mascher hunts down Modric and our winger(s) keeps theirs occupied, I can't see where the danger should come from. Maybe Hyypia will be brought in for Pavluychenko?

Cant see it tbh He'd flourish in a game like this too. Spurs only know one way to play and it doesn't involve defending

Does anybody know how Rafa has done away against Redknapps teams?
