I see that now Kuyt is doing so obviously well you've moved on to your next targets.

Your petty reasoning doesn't get much better either, "how many has Keane scored in the league? = he's done nothing and is turd, how many times has that new lad who's had 5 minutes to adapt to the country caught my eye? = he's turd too."

You'd have thought that they must have contributed something or we'd be much further down the league. You'd have thought.......

I actually think it's a nice ground once your inside.

It's definitely the best stadium in the developing world anyway.

Not to mention his excellent movement and 2 goals. Yes, we all would've hoped for more than 2 goals, but give him a ****ing chance, he has been an ever-present in a team that has lost it's first match in November!

and put it this way... how do you think you would do if you got your dream job, the thing you'd been working for your whole life..you move to a new team, you have 40,000+ people judging every minute detail of what you do every week, not to mention the papers and millions of other fans you're trying to impress.

Let's be honest, he was trying too hard at first, in addition to adapting to a new team and playing style. Torres has been quoted saying that if you're not exactly where Rafa wants you on the pitch he will let you know about it...I really doubt he will be playing with full freedom whilst adapting.

Yes he is a professional footballer you may say, he should be able to handle all this, but give him a ****ing break would you. He's running himself into the ground every game, playing with injuries (he had to have a painkilling injection the other day) and I'm sure he'd much rather be playing with Torres right now but he's injured sadly. but he IS contributing, and to say otherwise is absolutely moronic.

        Rant over
i'm fed up of strikers contributing without scoring goals. a 20 million pound striker that isn't scoring goals isn't contributing as far as i' concerned. i keane was to carry on like this all season i'm 100% sure that people would consider him to have failed.

i don't think my point is 'moronic' by the way but an accurate assessment of an underperforming 20 million pound striker.

i'm pleased for kuyt but thats in the context of accepting his limitations and his failure in the role we bought him for - centre forward.

he works hard and it is hard to dislike him but we can do better.

as for dossena he has done nothing and i've seen enough of him for my doubts to increase everytime he pulls on a liverpool shirt. i thought the same of gonzalez, voronin, pennant and lucas as well. in the context of dossena i'm reluctant to believe that we spent 7 million on potential. do u think he's a step forward on riise? if so what does he offer that riise didn't?

We are winning though.. he has scored goals wherever he's been and he will score plenty for us. Currently he is contributing assists

i don't think i'm the only one who expected more from keane so far. i'm sure we'll know by xmas whether he has what it takes to play at the highest level.

I cant even begin to tell you how stupid that is.

As far as i'm concerned, if the team is winning and acquiring 26 points from 11 games, everyones contributing. You dont achieve that tally by carrying passengers.

No. But you're definately in a minority righting him off before he's had a chance to settle.

We don't lose when Keane is on the pitch...so he must be doing something right, even if it's just keeping the defenders amused with his witty Irish humour...or maybe he contributes more with clever movement and ball retention than some posters realise??

Watched this in the same pub that I watched the Liverpool-United game when John O'Shea scored the winner in front of the Kop. Never watching another Liverpool match in there again.

That said, we were always going to lose a match somewhere along the line. I'd be very depressed if we'd reverted to a very boring, defensive, no creativity-type team and then got beat, but we dominated, deserved to win, got suckered, them's the breaks. All Spurs' luck is coming in a glut for them, they'd better keep milking it as far as I can see cos' they're pish otherwise.

All teams have days like that, hopefully there won't be another for a long time.

Our late finishes, and Keane being subbed on 60mins, co-incidence?

I don't know, but I do think Keane is not doing anything special on the pitch. El Zhar could have offered as much and we could have saved a massive chunk of cash. If Keane is going to turn it around, it will need to be impressive.

The line about us doing well with him playing meaning he's doing a good job is lazy imo.

And let's not forget just how expensive he was.

But there was also a time when we were trailing, Keane came on after about 65 mins, and we went on to win...coincidence...or lucky Irish charm??
