Mate this is simple. People are too focussed on LFC rather than other things in their lives where they can make a real difference (see my postcount ).

Yeah Arseholes mate ...they only comment on the bleeding obvious and when it we lose one game or have a result ... it must be someones fault or we must have been crap ...

Never perhaps we got beat fair and square or strategically got out maneuvered

Aurelio looks a much better player than Dossena does

He is ordinary. This isn't enough.

Exactly. Don't understand the need for this thread to be honest.

I don't think anyone played badly last night, we just lacked that cutting edge/final ball/finishing touch.

Guys, so many you have missed the point - possibly from not having the patience to read the full thread. The context of this post is not framed by last night's match. It is about the footballing qualities of one of our players. Nothing to do with the Athletico game.

Instead of responding to the spirit you erroneously believe the post was made, try responding with what you consider are his footballing strengths.

Opinion is clearly divided. I don't expect people en masse to agree with my viewpoint, but at least stick to the issue under debate.

I hear you mate and to a certain extent agree with you, I think Dossenia will become first choice Left back, just needs time to settle as did Evra for example ... Still Aurellio is a very solid player and when he gets a run and is on form is top class not ordinary in my books ... but yes as always .. LB is an area were we could improve right now ..

Aurelio is a good player but he has never been able to play consistently to really cement his place. I certainly feel it's stupid to create threads about players after a bad performance as football is a team game.

Hang on, is that a Fredo post I am agreeing with?!!!

I thought Aurelio's free kicks and corners were generally an improvement last night.
                          Oh I don't know.

I don't agree in that I think he was quite poor tonight but I don't see the need for a thread to be made out of it either as he's had a really good season so far and is much better than ordinary.

I don't think he was that bad but there is a real problem in the set up of the team on the left IMO. Whichever of the two fullbacks and Agger both like to go forward and Riera is not the type to cover and Mascher/Alonso let too many runners through when the defenders move up pitch. The right hand side suffers far less as Carra stays in place.
