Anyone that sees the title and content of the first post of this thread as anything other than a deliberate attempt to wind people up is either blind or extremely naive. there is no topic of conversation here, there is no contentious point. "What does it say about Rafa that fans of other clubs want him to say?" I don't think I've ever seen a more agenda-laden post on here. Frankly, what Rashid is trying to do here is nothing short of an embarrassment. Those other fans can **** off, and so can Rashid. We're Liverpool. We're Liverpool fans. We're the best club, we're the most knowledgeable fans. I don't need to listen to fans of other clubs to learn about our manager FFS.

I would agree with you if it was anyone else but this absolute moron

He's been doing this for years. Almost every single Liverpool forum is aware of him and many have banned him. Its not because he holds potentially controversial views, its because he is genuinely only ever out to wind people up. You could go on other forums and ask and get exactly the same answer.

At the end of the day, this is the internet. As well as being meaningless in the grand scheme of things, its just semi anonymous people saying things from behind a keyboard. People should be able to say whatever they like without fear of vilification PROVIDING its done with genuine reasons.

Rage, Sarb etc are overly negative, but at least they actually have something to say and a reason (however misguided ) for saying it

I dont doubt Rashid is a Liverpool fan, I just think he gets a kick out of stirring up trouble for more often that not, absolutely no reason

If the majority of forums have banned him already, thats got to say something IMO

Hmmm. The length of this post kind of goes against my "its only the internet" comment! Knickers

I have to say I'd hate for Ferguson and Wenger to stay many more years at their clubs for obvious reasons despite the latter not having won much at Arsenal - I'd love it if Wenger left.

All my mates who support other clubs, all the ******s on other forums and in talk radio shows - they all seemt to want Rafa to stay...

            Why?
I ask myself why would someone want to start this type of thread? Then I see that the poster is Rashid, a well known attention seeking whore who is now a wum of the highest order. I always used to give him the benefit of the doubt but threads like this just tell me how wrong I have been to try and 'understand' this poster.

For a start I don not believe what you say anyway. If anything, opposition team forums have fans now actually worried that Rafa has finaly worked out how to win this league.

Added to that we have a genuine world class spine and true European pedigree the feedback I am getting from fans is that Rafa is doing a great job now.

So IMO the question is backed by fabricated 'talk' by someone with an agenda to get rid of Rafa and provoke reaction. There is a saying, 'someone who cannot create love creates hate, just to be remembered'.

No Craig, its far from pathetic and it is certainly not out of ignorance or an inability to argue my case that I want Rashid banned, to be fair if we are going down this route it could be argued that your last post was very condescending and shows your ignorance to the general consensus regarding Rashid and some others. The plain and simple fact is that Rashid makes controversial statements simply to stir things up, if it was a real concern for him then surely as a Liverpool supporter, if he actually is, he would voice his concerns in a far more diplomatic manner. For me a Liverpool forum should be filled with fellow reds and therefore friends, I certainly would get no pleasure from baiting my fellow reds like Rashid seems to.

As in any relationship if someone does not bring something to the table then that relationship ends in seperation.

I think its certainly got to that stage with Rashid now.
But it's only your perception that he's doing it to stir things up. You assume he cant possibly genuinely hold those opinions, which comes over a bit arrogant to be honest mate. It's not impossible that his views ARE just genuinely ones which many find controversial. He doesnt break the rules, so why should he be banned? Because some people find him controversial? That's really lame.

Either people have to toe the line, or they're too controversial and have to be banned?

Here's an idea, why not put him on ignore? If people's only problem is his views, then ignore him and it's problem solved. That is, unless people's real agenda is just to have him banned, of course.

They were top until about March/April last season, werent they? And they finished just 4 points off. That's contesting it.

Obviously the forum owners dont necessarily share this view or think he's in breach of the rules. So rather than creating a witch hunt, why not just put him on ignore? Problem solved, isnt it?

Whilst I don't totally agree with Rashid's post, I also think it's a bit soon to be saying Rafa deserves a 5 year extension. This appears like the first season under him where we are seriously challenging for the title

We did something similar with Houllier where we gave him a contract but then wanted him out soon after and it ended up costing us millions to replace him. I don't see the problem in saying wait until March/April and see where we are and then offer a contract accordingly or not

Just my opinion that he has to seriously challenge for the title this season right up until the end of the season

It was more the "virtually always challenge" which they havent been since Rafa joined.

Jeez anyone would think we were mid table or even 5th. We're joint 1st, or 2nd on goal difference and I don't think we've even been that convincing. We'll get better over the season.

But banning Rashid is a bit ott even if he does stir it up. He's entitled to have an opinion provided he's relatively informed.
                        Really?

A few things - Rafa doesn't deserve a new contract and he wouldn't be getting one without challenging for the title at any other top club in Europe. Maybe Wenger apart but Wenger spends **** all and helped them build a stadium with the spare cash.

I guess the expectations of our fans is rock bottom mainly due to having managers who are all nearly men when it comes to the league for the past 18 years.

I find the thread and the abuse laughable, leagues aren't won in November and Rafa needs to make a meaningful challenge for the title before crying in public about a new contract - I've never known any LFC manager to do this.

Bottom line is he has outspent United, Chelsea and Arsenal these past 2 years and outspent United and Arsenal these past 4 years - no excuses anymore is there? He has had time and money... instead he wants more time and more money (for himself).

You can argue with, but you can't argue with the facts. Would rival fans be crying into their beer if Rafa signs a new contract next? Would they ****.

As for praise, I always praise when things are going better, I have been praising him for the whole of this season for a great start - but we have had false dawns like this before - we need to challenge into May before contracts and millions in signing on fees are handed out.

Rashid, we are perfectly able to appraise, analyse and criticise our manager without the need to consider the views of rival fans. Rival fans also rated Riise as one of the best attacking full-backs in the league and think Dirk Kuyt is a top class striker. They also think Mascher is an average midfielder. To be frank, they are criticising Rafa from a position of ignorance, and you using their opinions as another stick to beat Rafa with is frankly ludicrous, however you may try to justify it.

If you wanted to start a bona fide good faith discussion about Rafa's shortcomings and gone about it in a sensible non-patroniing way you would not have got the abuse you have been subjected to.

You really are an exasperating fella.

They only saw Riise's goals, every other fan I know thinks Kuyt is a clown, and they all rate Mascherano so where are you getting this from?

As for Rafa's short comings, I always highlight WHY I say things, you just haven't been reading.
