How can you say Nemeth isn't good enough for the premier league?

He was leading goalscorer for the reserves, and how many games has he played in the premierleague were you have made this judgement?

Hobbs is nowere near good enough for us. He has been awful 90% of the time he has been near the first team and will never make it for us.

i don't want to take part in this food fight between you, but there is one thing that is missing from the argument. N'gog is a completely different striker to Nemeth and they would hardly be competing for the same spot. Rafa likes possibilities and Ngog is strong and big that makes him an aerial threat something nemeth isn't. He wanted someone to replace crouch, someone who could spend 90% of the games on the bench but could be thrown in the the game and try and give the players on the field a few more options.

I can see the point you're making, Rafa likes different options, although I'm not sure if Ngog can give the team what Crouch did (I was a fan of his) as there was alot more to his game than height, I think he did enough against Madrid to at least get a place in the starting 11 in tonights game - Ngog excites me far more than Nemeth does.

UK - Nemeth is an outstanding talent mate, really, I've watched quite a bit of reserve footy with him in the side and he's the best young striker I've seen at the club since Owen.

But don't listen to me.....

I've only been to one reserve game this year, but as Nemeth has been injured no one has seen him play. Last year I went to most of the home games and I honestly wasn't impressed, I hope i'm wrong and i'll eat my words if I am, but I honestly don't think he's good enough.

btw, name one striker who's made it since Owen....Sean Dundee?!

There is a huge difference between the reserves and the first team, we'll know in time, but I doubt Nemeth will be at the club in 3 years, he'll be playing in Holland or another 2nd tier european league.

Hobbs, he's a defender, it takes longer for defenders to mature, i'm not saying he will make, but I think he's done enough to be around for another 18 months, if Sami retires at the end of the season, maybe he could take his place in the squad as 4th Choice? who Knows - I trust Rafa to make the right call.
