I think we are just seeing that Degen, El Zhar, Dossena and Ngog are very unlikely to be good enough to play in our team. Looking at it that way then at least we are learning something important tonight. In the 2nd half we will see if they have the guts, pride and desire to try and correct what they have allowed to happen in the 1st half.

I suppose it's all relative, eh!Originally posted by liverpooltj View PostMate we just expect that when our fringe players are given a chance they take it or at least put the effort in. They look like they just want to get it over and done with then get home.
I think I should go and do something else. Bloody half time. It can only get worse from here on!!!

Never good to see your team "perform" like this mate, never.Originally posted by Sisterstiffticket View PostI can't believe you lot are so upset tbh. You are still top...and despite this...you still have a strong squad.
But you are up against Chelsea. Who can bloody compete with their cash?3rd place. Worst champions ever.

We're still top, but as most fans we expect our players to show up for matches and especially when you're fighting for a spot in the first team.Originally posted by Sisterstiffticket View PostI can't believe you lot are so upset tbh. I don't care too much about the Carling Cup to be honest, but you should expect that it would mean a lot to the likes of Degen, Dossena, Lucas, Plessis, El Zhar N'Gog and Babel.Mystery is at the heart of creativity. That, and surprise.

Like I say, we need someone who can retain the ball and pass it to the open player. That should be Plessis role, but he's not involved enough, consequently, I don't think El Zhar, Torres or Ngog have had any possession worth speaking of. If we don't retain the ball, then Spurs have the ball and hence more than usual pressure on the back 4. If we can get and hold the ball in the CM we should improve and bring Torres into the game.Originally posted by rage View Postwe should sell fatty for whatever we can. he is the worst left back i've ever seen in a liverpool shirt. how much 7 million.
as for lucas oh my god another 6 million down the drain.
who was it yesterday saying that 99% of our squad is better than arsenal's kids?
massive clear out needed of our squad fillers. this isn't a half time rant, really don't think we've got enough quality there
It's probably irretrievable, but Xabi would make a world of difference. The Crushing Machine MKII

El Zhar hasn't got enough of the ball to have an influence. Babel has been shocking on the other flank, one good burst aside he has been running down blind alleys repeatedly.
Plessis is playing musical statues in the middle (no music no ****ing movement) and our full backs should be shot.
Get Plessis off at half time and stick on Alonso to exercise some control in midfield, altough it's already probably too late.A humble guy with healthy desire.

I can't see what Lucas has done wrong this game. He's trying to keep things ticking. Ok a couple of his through ball attempts have flopped but at least he's trying to attack coz no one else is trying.Originally posted by rage View Postwe should sell fatty for whatever we can. he is the worst left back i've ever seen in a liverpool shirt. how much 7 million.

As for Babel someone needs to tell him to just run for the byline, why cut inside and run into 5 Spurs players?

Definately agree but for some reason Rafa doesn't seem to like giving the lads who've come through the academy a try. That's a situation that needs sorting and sorting fast.Originally posted by PoolG View PostDarby,Insua and spearing should all be playing these games. At least they put their foot in unlike Lucas and Degen. To be honest though I'm not bothered as long as it dosen't end up a right massacre. We've bigger fish ti fry than this pissy cup and a few midweeks off will do us no harm.We managed to rectify it, though, because it now says, "Cook" where it once said "Cock", and "Pass" where it once said "Piss", so it’s slightly less rude.

I'm not going to pass judgment but neither El Zhar or N'Gog have got enough decent service for you to make that kind of call. Torres has been no better or worse than those two and I would advocate binning him on that basis, would you?Originally posted by SERVO1 View PostI think we are just seeing that Degen, El Zhar, Dossena and Ngog are very unlikely to be good enough to play in our team.
