Another Alonso masterclass today but Kuyt continues to grow. The guy's renaissance has been beautiful to witness. He is a threat and one of our key players; striking the ball so cleanly and powerfully, and a fantastic header for the goal...something I've not seen in his locker before.

So happy to be proven wrong over Dirk. He must've known his position in the team was under threat and he's risen to the challenge. Fantastic.

Lashings of humble pie for you, me and probably most of the site.

Anyone else think that Riera seems to fade from games after an hour or so? He wasn't in it much in the second half today.

I thought Babel should have been brought on to add some pace on the wing and keep the ball in Boltons half.
Jellyfish are 97% water or something, so how much are they doing? Just give them another 3% and make them water. It's more useful

Yes in the 2nd half, Riera seems to sit deep almost playing leftback.
Babel could have replaced him easily. Babel is the main player to play for counter attack along with El Nino.

Yep we said exactly the same thing during the game. 1st half he stays as wide as he can, 2nd half he seems to tuck right in and consequently fades out of games.

Also thought Babel should've come on for him today.

And I'm so happy to be proven right over Dirky.
            .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

Think we need to start taking our chances as goal difference could come into it. Chavs are scoring for fun.
