    Not the full picture as far as I'm concerned. Owe's a goalscorer, Keane is a forward. Keane provides assists such as the Everton game, Owen provides more goals.

    Thing is, there's not a chance he would have played the same games as Keane.

      You're just raging cause the money that we spent on Keane could have been spent on bringing Barry here.

        The point being, Keane is twice the player that Owen is. Keane contributes to the team on every level, whereas, the little runt, is a one trick pony, even then he needs 7 to 8 chances to stick 1 of them away.

            So no thanks!...its teamwork, not michael ****ing owen!
            Stay where you are, ya welsh midget!
            If we won the league, the media would be the last ****ing thing on my mind. Why would you give a monkey's what they say?

            Owen would add something to our squad, hence i would take him. That's the only real criteria of importance.

              I've read some nonsense on various forums over the years, but this rightfully takes its place at the summit. Owen has consistently proved to be one of the most clinical finishers of the past decade. Him needing 7 or 8 chances to score, is factually nonsense.

                  Those that hid Anne Frank were breaking the law.
                  Those that killed her, were following the law.

                    Rather than watching goal compilations on CD`s or you tube, trying viewing full matches over a season, then you will see how far from the truth "clinical" is

                        Owen was always a great finisher, we didnt get many chances a match and if it hadnt of been for Owen God knows how we would have done under Houllier.

                          If

                          If you can keep your head when all about you
                          Are losing theirs and blaming it on you;
                          If you can trust yourself when all men doubt you,
                          But make allowance for their doubting too;
                          If you can wait and not be tired by waiting,
                          Or, being lied about, don't deal in lies,
                          Or, being hated, don't give way to hating,
                          And yet don't look too good, nor talk too wise;

                          If you can dream - and not make dreams your master;
                          If you can think - and not make thoughts your aim;
                          If you can meet with triumph and disaster
                          And treat those two imposters just the same;
                          If you can bear to hear the truth you've spoken
                          Twisted by knaves to make a trap for fools,
                          Or watch the things you gave your life to broken,
                          And stoop and build 'em up with wornout tools;

                          If you can make one heap of all your winnings
                          And risk it on one turn of pitch-and-toss,
                          And lose, and start again at your beginnings
                          And never breath a word about your loss;
                          If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew
                          To serve your turn long after they are gone,
                          And so hold on when there is nothing in you
                          Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on";

                          If you can talk with crowds and keep your virtue,
                          Or walk with kings - nor lose the common touch;
                          If neither foes nor loving friends can hurt you;
                          If all men count with you, but none too much;
                          If you can fill the unforgiving minute
                          With sixty seconds' worth of distance run -
                          Yours is the Earth and everything that's in it,
                          And - which is more - you'll be a Man my son!

                              Being someone who's missed about 200 odd minutes of our games this season, how would you suggest i manage to attend Liverpool and Newcastle games?

                              I watch plenty of full matches, mostly live and in person and i know full well, just like anyone with a bit of football knowledge, that when it comes to finishing, Owen is about as clinical as anyone.

                                Spot on mate.

                                Anyone who questions Owen's finishing, doesnt really paint themselves as being all that clued up.

                                There's things about Owen you can question all day long, but finishing and goalscoring are nowhere near that list.
