Apologies to the blind loyalists on the the board, but when a £20m player is making such fundamental errors I think we have a right to be concerned and to express those concerns. I will draw the analogy with Cisse - a player who can score goals when is acting instinctively but does not have the game intelligence or subtlety to excel at a top 4 club which plays a more sophisticated brand of football than what he is used to. At present Keane's decision making is extremely poor and it seems to me he lacks the intelligence to excel here. He will need to adapt quickly otherwise he could prove to be a write-off.

I was never in favour of signing him; we should have prioritised other areas of the team.

Yet we're dissecting that this players **** and Rafa's making mistakes with x and should be concentrating only on the PL and etc etc.

Aren't we supposed to be supporters? Jumping on negatives even when we're doing well strikes me as wrong.

Things are clearly working and working well as a team whatever the individual performances. And surely that's what matters?

Keane as an individual may not be showing value yet, but the difference in the team is most definately showing the value.

So let's just enjoy it, support and move on.
There is such a thing as critically evaluating - otherwise you'll never improve. And even at the top there is always room for improvement. Keane has been poor even in games we have played well. So like yesterday when we weren't playing well and we needed out attackers on form, Keane didn't step up at all. And this so called rotation policy, where the hell has it gone now? Going by Rafa's theory, you pick the players who are in the best form/condition. Keane has been ****e in all but 3 games this year - so why hasn't he been dropped? Maybe dropping him will give the kick up the backside he needs.

£20m on a striker whose only league contribution is 2 goals in one game. Quite ridiculous. He'd be getting even more stick if we'd dropped points against Bolton last week after yet another ridiculous miss

I thought he'd be a good signing for us to be honest, but never at £20m. Spurs must be laughing to be honest. He contributes very little in the area he needs to be contributing. He has had enough chances and teams like Fulham who come to defend, he is the one who should be unlocking them. There were a couple of occasions yesterday when defenders backed away and he could have shot but he is continually passing the burden by playing it out wide.

Next game it should be Gerrard and Torres up front. Or if we want to persist with this formation then go for Kuyt and Torres up front, who for me would be a better partnership than Torres and Keane

Agreed, particularly with the bit in bold. Rafa was yesterday waxing lyrical about how good the Gerrard-Torres partnership was last season and hinted that when Gerrard is back he will pair those two up again. Given that Keane is a second striker, Torres plays better on his own up front with someone behind him rather than in a two, and Gerrard and Torres already had a ready-made partnership, the £20m signing of Keane looks more and more like madness, especially considering his woeful form and incredulous decision making.

            Amen.

I dont particulary care how much someone costs. I think Keane would still be getting the same critisism if he was on a free. Maybe he is trying to hard but as yet I have seen nothing at all that made me think he deserves to play. Atleast when Crouch first came you could see how much he helped the team, with Keane the same can not be said.

                  No.

Right now he should be benched because Kuyt, Gerrard, Torres and Riera is better than him.

He should act as cover if anyone of the above gets injured/banned. He should be made to fight for his place in the same way as Agger did or like Babel is now doing.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.

I rate Keane and I thought at the time he was a great signing and I think even now he will be a great signing but I agree 100% with AF11.
If he is struggling a little bit for form then leave him out, let him come on with 20 mins to go with a game already won and relax with his football or better still come on when we need a bit of magic to win a game so again he can try things, let him play without fear.

Not at the moment - but how many times have they played together?

They really havent had the time to gel yet due to Torres injuries.

thought he would be a great signing

i am very disappointed in him at the mo
missing so many sitters and i mean sitters and imo his all round game isnt good either
he shouldnt be playing - lads on the bench will be thinking what the **** do i need to do to get a game and so confidence will suffer
