I think Utd's claim is pretty pathetic as self praise is no praise and i don't think we should go down that road.
      Very good post my friend.

Another one who has fallen for their self proclamation of being the biggest club.

Id have to say unfortunately not. In order id say Madrid, scum, us. Then any from half a dozen. Shame really, little bit of forward thinking and we really could have been the dominant force in world football for 50 years or more. Hindsight eh......

I was in Singapore recently and was quite pleased to see that Liverpool appeared to be the most popular club there. LFC jerseys were always more prominently displayed at the front of sports shops and an informal survey on trains, in the streets, etc. seemed to confirm that Liverpool gear was much more abundant than the other big teams' gear. I know it's a small country, but probably a bit indicative of the popularity of the club in the region.

Depends how you define 'big'. Heart and soul mixed with success, no one comes close.

It still remains to be seen how the heart and soul bit changes when we get someone with a business brain and some momentum, and a new stadium. I'd like to think it won't change, but I think it will dillute things a little.

Of course if we hadn't been appalling mis managed off the pitch for pretty much 20 years, we'd be able to tell that already.

We still have the potential to be the biggest bar none.

I am not sure I would want to support a team who were the biggest in the world. I'll settle for being the club with the best, most dedicated hard core fans who have real football knowledge and show appreciation for themselves and respect for others (most of the time!). Whose support in times of adversity have given us an almost mythical status throughout the football world.

I think it is important to have lean times. Although my patience is wearing thin waiting for number 19. It gives you a sense of perspective and appreciation for those golden nights. Fook me, just think how we will all feel when we eventually win it again.

You know what, I was thinking the exact thing this evening. Anfield, the City of Liverpool and even other parts of the UK will be rocking that night we win No.19!!

I was imagining the scenes at Anfield, the open top bus parade to the Town Hall and Rafa emerging with the lads on the balcony and with 'the' trophy... sends shivers down my spine. I pray we can do it, I really do.

I've asked myself how i'd react if we won it - both at the moment that it was confirmed, and then in the aftermath. And i genuinely dont know. I think i'd probably just explode

How do they count the 18m? Am I one of them? If I convince my nephew to change allegiance from United to us, does that make it 18,000,001, or does he have to register somewhere?

This is a genuine question, how do they calculate their figures, is it from sales, polls or something else?
If we are all only happy when we are really winning in the end, when your race finishes, what life would that be?

Brommapojkarna is actually the biggest club in the world if you look at how many players that plays for them, youth teams included.

If you include support all over the world then Real Madrid is the biggest club out there.
Just believe and you never know what will happen.

According to Benitez it's important not simply to go out to win but to go out prepared to win, which means players have to put in the same level of work on a daily basis. Anything else is unacceptable.
