I'll be his friend. Could be a useful companion on a night out.

Fed up Skrtel 'ready to quit Anfield and return to St Petersburg'

To be fair, he probably has been telling his mate that he's fed up and depressed with life in Liverpool at the moment. He's injured. Most footballers get fed up when they can't play, and being on your own in a new city would exacerbate the situation.
The point is, there's a huge difference between saying to your mates that you are fed up if they phone when you are sat around injured, and actually feeling that you are not happy at the club in general. Skrtel seems very happy judging by his other comments and interviews, and I can't see any first-team regular wanting to leave us the way we are looking at the moment.
Probably a grain of truth in the article in the comments from his mate, but the spin of "Liverpool could be facing up to losing Skrtel" is just **** journalism.

if i had all his money and was fed up while injured id fly them over and have a monster party"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.
"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

aye it's the first thing i thought too - every footballer talks about the depression they get when they are out injured. He has a had a particular bad injury that when it first happened and probably for the first few weeks it looked like he would be out for six months - of course he has been depressed and fed up - he prob had to sit around on his own all day well everyone was out training, he would have been bored ****less and probably spoke to a few mates back home and said something like "****ing hell i'm fed up, i wish i could come home cause i'm bored here" which would be a fair enough, hrow away commentOriginally posted by calvoboy View PostTo be fair, he probably has been telling his mate that he's fed up and depressed with life in Liverpool at the moment. Last year it was agger who was an alchy, then a coke head, then turning into a gangster when he was out injured
I really ****ing hate the press - they make mountains out of mole hills and cause situations that aren't there - I have said this before but i blame Sky Sports News - cause they are on 24/7 they need to fill the space and just create stories so they can have breaking news - as a result this causes all the other media outlets (press, tv, radio, internet) to jump on the band wagon to try and get the exclusives firsti own everton fans on the internet....that's what i do

Funny how Rafa is quick to deny Skrtel rumours (http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drill...81120-1208.htm) but has nothing to say about Yosser yet.....

Could be to do with the fact that Yossi’s was a direct quote. Skrtel’s was second hand from a friend in 442 magazine.Originally posted by Elvis View PostFunny how Rafa is quick to deny Skrtel rumours (http://www.liverpoolfc.tv/news/drill...81120-1208.htm) but has nothing to say about Yosser yet.....

SKRTEL: I'M VERY HAPPY AT ANFIELD
Liverpool defender Martin Skrtel has rubbished reports claiming he is unsettled at Anfield.
The Reds number 37 moved to reassure Liverpool supporters after quotes from a former Zenit St Petersberg teammate wrongly claimed he wanted to return to the Russian club.
"I am very happy here at Anfield," Skrtel told Liverpoolfc.tv today.
"It was always my dream to play here in England and I'm with one of the biggest clubs in the world.
"I spoke to my friend in Russia and we talked about Zenit. I have great friends there but I never said I am not happy here, and I never said I didn't like the city.
"I didn't say the city is boring. That's just not true and I'd like to repeat I am very happy here.
"This is a special club and a city with a lot of history. I have been made to feel very welcome here at Liverpool.
"I enjoy life in Liverpool. I have been a few times to Jamie Carragher's Cafe Sports England restaurant and a few other places as well."
Skrtel also spoke of his bond with the Liverpool supporters who have taken the Slovakian international to their hearts.
"The Liverpool fans are one of the best in the world," he said.
"When I'm out in the city they always come up to me to shake my hand and wish me all the best in my recovery.
"I just want to get back as quickly as possible to help the team win trophies and repay the supporters faith in me."
I started this thread now I'll end it...
