Reira is rarely beating a player on the outside nowadays. Don't know why
Keane just doesn't do enough to justify a selection in the starting 11. Lucas instead of Alonso was a bad decision
Gerrard should play off Torres next game and Keane should be on the bench. Doubt that will happen though

It's abundantly clear to me that this squad does not have enough quality, strength or depth to win the league, and I seriously questioon now whether the team is able to hold its own without Gerrard in the team.
Lucas is clearly not up to it. He was inept today.
Keane needs to ****ing wake up. Rubbish.White liquid in a bottle = Milk

His main impact has been to give us width, and allowing the CMs room to breathe.Oh I don't know.

I don't recall a game where we have made so many incomplete passes. No idea why it was so bad but we gave the ball away continuously, it was all too complicated. Credit has to go to Fulham for their effort and work rate, mixing it up, getting their foot in and being a pain in the ass....a bit like we used to play under Houllier.
"If Gerrard continues to play up front, leaving this lack of creativity and intelligence in Midfield, the season WILL be over by Xmas."
I still don't think we'll finish in the top 4 this season."

Only positive today was that we keept up with chelsea and gained one on arsenal...
Lets hope we gain a point on the scum as well, and we can still be safisfied league table wise.
The way we played today was not pleasing, and only Torres and Alonso played well IMO, and a shame we diden't play Alonso the whole game!

I think the answer to that is quite clear, no Alonso, and Lucas instead.Originally posted by FatTony View PostI don't recall a game where we have made so many incomplete passes. Probably the first time this season I can say Rafa got it wrong.
Alonso should have started this match, I'll go on as far as saying that Alonso should start every match he's fit. The guy makes us tick and I'm a lot more confident with our possession when he's on the pitch. He improved us coming on but sadly it was too late and Rafa took off the wrong player.
Lucas had his chance, against the weakest central midfield in the league in terms of physical presence, yet Murphy and Bullard still made him look lightweight. He's not cut out for this league.
I was also disappointed with Babel when he came on. Really expected these two to step up this season and they haven't.

Indeed. But sometimes players have to prove they are not good enough on the pitch to get the message through.Originally posted by Dhav View PostActually you're right. We can cope without Gerrard, but not with Lucas paired with Mascher in central mid, that was frankly insane by Rafa.
I can't see Lucas staying past the Summer.
I wouldn't have played Lucas, you wouldn't either. Rafa obviously thought he could, and he was proved wrong. We all make mistakes.Oh I don't know.

We're still in it. **** happens - we're going to drop points, and whenever it happens it is going to be frustrating, and against teams which we don't expect.
However, likelihood is that we may lose the league by a couple of points. Even then, I still think we could see this season as a success.
I'm not expecting to win the league- every week we are still up there is a bonus for me, although I appreciate that LFC should always be challenging.Really?
