El Zhar has done reasonably well in his cameos for the first team this season but I will be amazed if he makes the permanent step up. Offers very little IMO.

Does anyone else think that one of the reasons that some of our first team "reserves" look somewhat poor when they get a chance for the first team is because they simply don't play many games? The likes of Dossena, Degen, Lucas, N'Gog etc aren't regulars so should they not be getting games in the reserves to get their match sharpness up? That was certainly how it used to be done no?

Aye he's very wasteful in front of goal, yet his eye and knack for the killer through-ball...be it a little reverse pass or a slide-rule ball in behind, is top class. If he can add goals to his game, added to the much-needed strength he will inevitably gain as he gets older, then he'll be a diamond.
