My thoughts:

-Stevie Irwin played very well in his first start for the reserves. He passed the ball well, very rarely lost possession and put a couple of decent challenges in too.
-Pacheco needs to improve his finishing dramatically. In all the games for the reserves and the games he had in pre-season, i must have seen him miss 10 glaring opportunities.-You could see Nemeth's class instantly when he came on. There are certain things about him (close control and acceleration burst) that remind me slightly of Torres.
-Great skill and finish from Weijl.

sounds like a certain robbie keane we have playing in the first team!

Parr Zee, how was Mendy. Him and Weijl I'm very interested in for the future.

Mendy did OK, i suppose. He seems very keen to get forward and he looks pretty nippy too, but he gave away quite a few free-kicks in dangerous areas with some poor late challenges. The jury is still out.

I do like the look of Weijl though ... he seems just as comfortable going inside or outside the full-back, he has some tricks up his sleeve, and he can cross.

Pacheco is not a striker, he has no finishing instinct whatsoever.

I think it'll come in time. You can see from his through ball expertise that he can put the ball where he wants it. Once he starts knocking a few in and develops some confidence I think he'll go from strength to strength. Plus the other thing to mention is that he is getting into some great scoring positions - which is one of the hallmarks of a good goalscorer.

if we hadnt got knocked out of the Carling Cup then am sure he would have featured. interesting to see whether Nemeth will get the nod over say Ngog for that subs role?
