Babel needs to play just as much as Lucas so I hope gets a run out.

I'd prefer to see Babel up front personally.Even Rafa has said that he sees his future as a striker instead of LM so let's see how he goes with Torres from the off. Keane can warm the bench for this one.

Slow day, not much going on. Crap result at the weekend but onwards and upwards.

Stevie will hopefully be back in contention but I'd bench him. Alonso in for Lucas and the rest of the team picks itself.

It'd be nice to give Carragher a rest too.

Honestly, I would probably put Alonso in for Mascherano. I think the European environment will be better for Lucas and we should be looking to get a more attacking game going after the bore draw of the weekend.

In general though as you say we should be aiming to pick much the same team IMO.

Why is that then Raga? Do you see Kuyt as more a striker than a midfielder or Babel as more of a midfielder than a striker?

As for me I prefer Kuyt's energy in midfield whereas Babel isn't quite so quick to get back and do the donkey work. Just my opinion though

I'd start Keane. He has missed a few sitters or late but any Republic of Ireland fan will tell you he does do that from time to time. He should get a bit more space in Europe and it will give him and Torres a chance to improve their understanding. Should go all out to win tonight and then concentrate on the PL.
