    I don't think you could have described him as a 'flair' player. He was very quick, could defend and was capabable of delivering a decent cross.

    But yes, these are all traits which Rafa obviously can't stand so as you rightly point out, he wouldn't have got many games under him.

      With those attributes you could be talking about Rob Jones, Souness' finest signing, I know that isn't saying much, always thought he was a fantastic full-back!

        Jones was a class apart - could have been a legend. I remember his first game for us against Man U -one of the most assured performances I've ever seen from a debut.

                      agger came as a 1st 11 player, jones didn't. show me 1 player rafa has bought that successfully come through the reserves?

                        utter bull - Jones went straight in to the first team. His first game was against Man U just days after he signed.

                            how much did we buy him for? who was our right back at the time?

                            my point is agger came in with an expectation that he would be a 1st 11 imo jones did not.

                            as for utter bull i don't think so, go and research the context of how and why jones got thrown into the deep end
