This is a flaccid effort at going top of the league. Once again we're very bereft of attacking ideas at home against a very limited side who couldn't beat eggs prior to this. The early season momentum is beginning to slip away with the return to this very Benitez-esque type football. All perspiration, no inspiration. Extremely disappointing given the golden chance we have to take the initiative, it's just too easy for very average teams to snuff us out at Anfield.
We might nick this with a set piece or a wonder goal but it can't disguise the problems.
