He lost it a fair amount, as did Keane, but at least he was being direct and attacking.

If it was up to me I would have brought Babel on instead, but that isn't N'gogs fault. I dont think he's that bad a player.
    Agree with all that mate.

On a positive note though, being a bit disappointed at being top by a point in December is surely a sign of improvement. If we can have a run in at the end like we normally do we've got a good chance.

haha - reecey babes, seriously, i agree that it's harsh to be slagging off a young lad who has been here for 5 mins, but for ****s sake this is a bizarre buy.

I could argue for or against every signing we have made in the last 10 years

but n'gog I just can't see any reason why?

        Pace I think mate.

Without Torres we seriously lack that option (Rafa clearly doesn't see Babel as a CF) and for £1.5mil I reckon Rafa thought it was worth the gamble for a guy with potential and good speed. Even Nemeth who many argue should have been promoted instead of buying Ngog doesn't have the pace that we need in the schwadd.

Ok I'm being harsh on the lad. That's just pure fustration at us not capitalising on the results at the weekend. However I still thinks he looks extremely average and Babel should have come on for Yossi or Riera. Hope he proves me wrong one day but I dont think he'll make it.

ok - well if it was purely for pace, why not have cisse on loan for a season - haha - It's not like me too have a rant like this but I had a ****ing stressful day yesterday as i was stuck in a meeting, had a mad rush home to get ready, then rush to a mates to get my ticket and then flew the ground just in time for kick off too only be ****ing dissappointed by a poor result - it then took ****ing ages getting away from the ground cause off a closed road and some billy big balls in a range rover deciding to pull out and block half the road so the oncoming bus had to stop blocking any exits - so i missed last orders at my local, so some cunt is going to feel my wrath today and first up is n****ing'og

Instead he was isolated and his service was ****. Babel is obviously having problems with Rafa and if he wasnt so ****ing stubborn we could be three points clear.

Taking Keane off after 60 odd minutes every game is a ****ing joke and I find it hard to put into words how ludicrous it is to replace him with the striking version of Traore.
100% correct I was coming on here to post exactly the same thing. Being Irish I have always followed Keane's career and he has never lead the line in any team he has played for, he is simply not that type of player(no real pace or strength). That kind of game last night was made for him in the position I presumed he had being bought for, as a Number 7 "in the hole", instead Kuyt was the one dropping deep trying to link up the play. West Ham didn't have to worry about Keane getting in behind as he has no pace, if Babel had been leading the line with Keane dropping in behind him we would have seen a totally different performance from him and the team.

I know he is getting stick for how he is playing and deservedly so and being Irish of course I will favour him but its just baffling how Rafa is using him, he is simply not the type of player to lead the line never has been and never will.

But that's not the point for me. We did sign him so what is the point in slagging him off when he has hardly played. Are 19 year olds from another country not allowed time to settle in?

Ngog for 1.5 million is a better buy than Keane at 20 million. He has years to develop.

Anyway, we had a striker who was perfectly suited to leading the line and getting on to crosses from Dossean, Riera, Fabio etc and that man was Crouch. Should have played him last season and should be playing him this season. We didn't need a expensive striker and now we have one, he's ****. Riera is fine for the left, Kuyt is going ok for the right, we are getting crosses in the box and we've got a nervous midget trying to get on the end of them. Laughable. Thank **** we've got a solid back 3 in Reina, Carra, Skrtel/Agger to keep them out or we'd be really ****ed without Torres.

I won't disagree that Babel should have come on first, and I won't pretend N'Gog has done anything to particularly impress me (apart from pre-season ). I just would hope that a young player would get a bit more of a chance before the knives are out.
