I don't live in England so I would have to spend in excess of £600 to buy a plane ticket + a stadium ticket. I don't live 'nearby'.

And even then I wouldn't have booed the players as it's a ****ing disgrace. Spending £40 FFS, as if they would swap their place for anything else even if we play ****e.

I'll say it again; there's no excuse for supporters booing players. Roy Keane had a point when he said that United supporters were 'prawn sandwich eaters'. Our fans are rapidly becoming like them.

I agree with Fredo, just because you paid through the nose for your ticket doesnt condone that type of behaviour IMO.

We are all Liverpool fans and we all want the best for the club, I fail to see how booing the players off is going to have any beneficial affect on their future performances.

As for booing the team as they move top of the league, well, words fail me as to just how moronic and counter-productive that is.
It's tempting to dismiss these results as the blips that happen all title-chasing and otherwise well-performing sides, but in our case, it simply does not wash by a long chalk.

Rafa's teams have always, right from the word go, been beggared by this perplexing tendency to play absolutely terribly against minnow opposition who come to Anfield with little ambition other than to sneak a 0.0. Boro, Wigan, Birmingham, they've all got points off us and then got hosed at places like Old Trafford etc. We are impotent as an attacking force when the onus is on us, like, how much possession did we have and how many saves did Greene have to actually make as a result, before the last quarter? Results like Stoke, Fulham and now West Ham, not to mention how indelibly the pattern is etched on other seasons prior to this as well, shows just how deep this problem runs.

It is, in short, both the hallmark and the bugbear of Rafa's Liverpool.

The massive plus point about the start to the year was not just our results, it was the manner in which we achieved them. Playing football. Taking the initiative. Attacking.

        Where has that team gone?

We have, sadly, reverted to type. It's crushing to see how we've undermined ourselves after such an excellent start to the year when the winds of change really and truly looked to have been blowing not just through Anfield, but through Rafa himself.

We're still right in there but on this evidence, we are on borrowed time if we don't buck up.

To be honest, I sit in the main stand, near the directors box and I couldnt tell were it was coming from, seemed to be quite vociferous and behind me.

It was also spat out with venom, I felt that quite a few people were dying to boo and were dead happy to do so on teh final whistle.

There is no part of being a Liverpool supporter that justifies it, £40 ticket or free ticket, you shouldnt be in Anfield if you are going to boo the team...does anyone really think it makes the players any better? It makes me sick.

If you are a Liverpool supporter, then do just that, the clue is in the phrase.

I am not going to swear and shout, but I sincerely hope that all of the people, not supporters or fans, you are not that, who booed at the end last night are picked out on CCTV and have their tickets removed and never let in Anfield again.

You really are a pack of complete k***s and d*******s and I dont want you any where near to my club.

By all means critise, moan, complain, but for gods sake we are top of the league and through in the CL. How many other clubs would swap with us, Ill tell you, 91.

Go and play championship manager where you win 6-0 every week, in the real world that doesnt happen.
Amen brother. We're the greatest fans in the world aparently. But does k***s not start with a C??

But isn't that bollocks when we've just gone top of the league, and so are out performing everyone else? And when we've done as well as the other top teams against the ****e of the league for the last few years, and what has always undermined us has been our results against the top sides, something we've improved on already for this season.

There seems to be an odd belief that the best teams always beat the worst teams. It just isn't true. Never has been and never will be. Even the 'invincible' Arsenal team had some very dodgy draws against ****e teams that season.

No-one's happy drawing with West Ham at home, and nor should they be. But we've not been doing this well in the league for a long, long time. We need to get behind this team and roar them on to the title, not give them more stick than we have to mediocre Liverpool teams in the past.

For the last two seasons .. Man United the Champions have bloody well Lost to West Ham .. back to back seasons ... a couple of seasons ago the Hammers did the double on them ... they also lost to Reading and Pompey .. the season before that .. Champions Chelsea lost to Fulham ... To win the lg you need to pick up more points against the top four .. and keep pace .. simple as that .. We are in great shape

I'm finding it all quite exciting! A point here, 3 points there and we are top of the league!

To all those who are complaining, **** off. We played well and West Ham are also a team of professional footballers and not one legged geriatrics.

Also note that they are managed by an outstanding footballer and this may have some impact on their performance.

spot on mate. I remember that clearly. Alonso also pointed at Babel to tell him to chase back due to him having the pace and energy to do so, and he just did not bother. Pissed me off to.

Thats unacceptable .. he keeps that up he can **** right off to another team ... Regardless of what is going on behind the scenes .. all the fans care about is your performance when you are on the park and we watch every player on and off the ball very very closely indeed ..

ManU would swap with us. If they win their game in hand they are only 3 points behind us having already played away at Liverpool, Chelsea, Arsenal, Villa & Man C. They have got all their hard fixtures out of they way.

We have missed too many golden opportunities to capitalise im afraid. There should have been daylight between us and the rest by now.

that can be done in 2 games, they win 2 we lose one and draw one.... theres quite a few games between now and mid jan

look im not being over pessimistic or slating the team for the sake of it, I love the club and love what Rafa is trying to do and appreceiate the difficulty he is in with finances etc....

All I was trying to say is that in the past champions like Chelsea and Manu would have taken that opportunity and we didnt seem to have the ability to do it. I truely hope we put up a scrap all the way to May and are in with a shout....perhaps this year is going to pan out a bit differently than previous seasons, Utd are behind us and its December, Chelsea have started losing at home and Arsenal have been up and down like a yoyo....if there was ever a season that we could get in amoungst them then its this year, im not 100% conviced we will make it but I would love it to happen.....the next few games will really shape our season I believe, watch man u now put their foot down, we have to match them....... we have the ability and the players, we just have to get stuck in

And we've also played away at Villa, Everton, Man City and Chelsea and got a very respectable tally of points. So we're not exactly up against it with the away games for the reast of the season. A draw away at Old Trafford and at Arsenal would be fantastic results for us. Let's not forget that the onus will be on Utd and Arsenal to win those games, which should really suit us and the way we play.
