    1) i'm not basing it on 15 games, like you seem to be with your 'we have won more points at home than chelsea' comment. I'm basing it on the past few years and noticing that this season we, unlike chelsea, are continuing the past couple of season's habit of failing to beat ****e teams at home. It happened last season and it's happening this. It's just something we do. I havent dreamt it up out of nowhere.

    2) you seem to find it hard to understand that my viewpoint isnt one of negativity, it's one of reality - it's based on what HAS and DOES happen (and what is again happening). Your post seems to indirectly imply that i'm manufacturing this view out of thin air, with no actual real-life evidence, which is patently not true. My concern isnt about something happening that's a figment of my imagination, it's about something that keeps happening to us and something that will kill any title challenge if it continues, same as it did last season and seasons before. Let's hope we do actually have an exception to the general rule, and for once, it wont kill our bid.
I don't object to you holding or propounding your point of view. I don't like the implication that my view about what is happening is unrealistic.

Drop that value judgement about your own opinion and we can stop it right now.

Notice I don't claim to be more realistic than you.

Also, did you notice my post elsewhere about the antonyms for "realistic?"
    .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.

By the way, football isn't maths or even physics. Just because something has happened in the past it doesn't mean it will happen in the future. You're extrapolating a trend and that's where your viewpoint diverges from reality because it hasn't f*cking happened yet.

Just because I disagree with you it doesn't mean I don't find any of what you've said "hard to understand." So lay off being patronising, OK, sweetie?

Ok petal, let's just pretend we dont drop silly home points and if/when our title bid ends, we can pretend we're still top - it'll all be ok

I've got a better idea. Let's be pissed off while we're top, that will really make us feel better.

Craig, mate, you are harshing my buzz. And I haven't smoked anything in years.

I'm not pissed off Neil. As i've said several times, i'm concerned. But the tabloid journalist in you continues to re-emerge, and you cant seem to resist changing what i've actually said.

Look, i hope you're right, i hope our tendency to drop silly points at home has been a figment of my imagination. I hope we win the league and you can bump this thread and laugh at me for worrying.

Of course you'll pass mate, it's what you do. Something you struggle with, you avoid.

Thought of something to substantiate your view that our tendency to drop points at home doesnt exist or isnt a problem, yet? I'll go to bed, come back tomorrow and still wont find anything.

                    Sweet dreams Rover

I'm pretty sure that Neil has agreed that we have had a tendency to drop points at home, but is saying this doesn't necessarily mean that we will continue to do so. Unless I've read his posts wrong

So I guess Gerrard is being negative then and not realistic. Not good Captain material then?

At least he's not at your level of thickness though. Now that would be something to worry about
