Keane To Be Rested?

The point was not how heartfelt the post was but the fact that all it did was criticise other posters, that is of itself likely to do nothing but provoke a reaction of the same kind. Recently the forums have become awash with this sort of irritating argument that seems to have been going of for months and it is boring and unproductive.Originally posted by fredo View PostIt's not provocative it's simply coming straight from the heart. There isn't an ounce of aggressiveness in me.
In order to try and make this place a bit more enjoyable we as mods feel that we are going to have to stop this sort of pointless tit for tat posting. It would be most appreciated if you would make our job as easy as possible."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

These arguments are really stupid I agree but when Neil Young goes into one of them sprees then something must be really wrong somewhere.Originally posted by dww View PostThe point was not how heartfelt the post was but the fact that all it did was criticise other posters, that is of itself likely to do nothing but provoke a reaction of the same kind. Keane has been well and truly pants for us - I don't think anyone would disagree - so I'm not sure what you've got to crow about there. He was the Premiership's leading goalscorer in 2007 and although plenty had doubts no-one could have predicted such a poor start to his LFC career.
And if Dossena is sold back to Italy, then so what? What's to crow about? Anyone would think the likes of rage and yourself would be pleased to see him fail, so you could crow about it all over the forums.
Look...the aim of most 'realists' this season was to challenge for the title. We're top. We're challenging. I think it's pretty clear the perennial doom mongers are really having to scrape the barrel to claim their bit of glory.
Shaggy, not looking to argue with you mate as you're a decent poster and life's too short to spend time on a forum having arguments with people
When I refer to being right, it's about keane being rested, I said yesterday he should be benched and not play against Blackburn. So I was kinda spot on with that
I don't think there's anything to crow about if Dossena gets sold back to Italy. Again I wasn't referring to that. In my opinion I don't think he's shown enough but then again deserves a season to settle in. Jan is too quick to sell him. But he is overweight
In terms of being right, well I said we should play Kuyt up top, should give a youngster a chance etc, etc, etc. When I say that (especially Kuyt) I get a slating.
And the realist thing came as a result of being called negative all the time. I'm not negative cos I don't continuously make negative posts (even though people think that). People said me saying we should have beat Fulham and West Ham was negative. I don't see it as that, I see it as saying we could have been in a better position, so it's neither a negative view or slating, it's just being realistic about the situation
Like I said, it's a two way thing. People on both sides are crowing. I don't go round calling people a tit or a cunt etc etc etc.
That's my final post on this realist issue. I don't need a Bascombe article to prove I was right about Keane being rested or sold. Facts and performances speak for themselves

He needs to relax.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.
