now this is what i like to hear

Petr Cech has shot down Liverpool's title hopes and says Chelsea's main title rivals this season are Manchester United. Rafael Benitez's men may be one point ahead in the title chase but Cech is more worried about the threat from Old Trafford. Sir Alex Ferguson's men are six points off the pace as they bid for their third title in a row. Cech told Denik Sport: "I would say that it [our biggest threat] are still Manchester United. You can always count on them as they have been playing together for a long time and have a strong bench.

"I think that Arsenal have returned to the race by beating us. But they cannot afford to drop more points.

Liverpool? We will see. They have also slowly started to drop points, like we have done. Only time will show how it will affect them."

    He's probably right.

We should just go about our business quietly though and see how we get on. I dont think we'll win the league but i'd be more than happy if we put up a good fight unlike in previous seasons. The pressure is still on United and Chelsea.
"Let me say for the record, I am not a gangster and never have been. Im not the thief who grabs your purse. Im not the guy who jacks your car. Im not down with the people who steal and hurt others. Im just a brother who fight back."

Take each game at a time and let the other clubs worry about each other. We will just keep going and when torres is back BANG then we start to hit our form

Maybe the sort of stuff which our players would possibly believe since we haven't been in the situation of challenging the title for ages. If we have a nine point gap between ourselves and United come February/March - then you can say write us off at your peril.

We are approaching the half way mark in the PL. Last season in the second half of the PL we amassed more points than any other team

We get stronger as the season goes on, as far as I am concerned Cech and other can continue to think like this, all bodes well for us

It is much easier to amass points when you are only fighting for 4th.
It brings a whole new set of pressures when you need the points for the title.

                        no its not
the pressure on us to finish top 4 was huge
you could argue its easier to gain points when your already certain of a top 4 finish

We had amassed most points I think after we lost against United in february, did we not?
                          * The above is posted in my opinion. Feel free to disagree.

We failed to win any games in January. That was one disasterous month.

Oh bloody hell, now we're going to have to put up with doom-mongers worrying about "our traditional January slump" just like our October, November and December ones.
                              .
Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.

May the Lord bless this post.
