And may I add, that the teams who finish second do so for a reason, they were not good enough.

Of course anyone of the teams who we play could hit top form at just the moment we play them. Any team who makes the last 16 is more than capable of beating any other on their day. By the time Feb comes round Real Madrid could be at the top of their game whilst Barca could be in free fall, and vice versa of course.

Impossible to predict until closer to the time.

People forget it all too easily, but the time at which you play a team is so crucial.

The season we knocked out Barcelona, we shouldnt really have done it, they were a better side than us and nobody would've fancied us. But we caught them at a good time, they werent in form, things werent going well for them and we capitalised.

Say what you like and yes Barca are playing some lovely football right now, but off the back of the last 4 years in the Champions Lg .. there really is one team nobody wants to get ... and that team is Liverpool FC ... I would say we are the most effective team in Europe bar none, personally I fear no team in this competition. I have a healthy respect from them all, but much like having experience of winning the Lg can be a huge advantage .. the same is true of the Champions Lg. I would go as far to say that teams expect us to win, somehow and its up to them to make something happen or some how change that, which again is a huge advantage.

Rafa also I would suggest is the best manager in the European Championship bar none. Nobody can touch him in this competition
