Trade Descriptions Act or not fit for the purpose?

Maybe he has fallen under the curse of the No. 7 shirt. Should think about retiring it

You'd still be in a job Sarb. In fact I bet your boss would be trying to tie you down on a long term contract........
I'd still be in the job now for sure yes. But if I finished well off it in May when we're judged then I'd be sacked for sure

And could I have any complaints.....no

Never, ever. The No.7 shirt WILL return to its former glories at some point. It is a shirt players should aspire to so I hope we never go down that awful route of retiring shirt numbers.

Don't know Loop. But some good players seem to wilt under the pressure when they take on that No. 7 shirt, and some very good players I might add

I don't really want to get involved in the Rafa out/Rafa in at all costs debate, as I think its rediculous to be honest, but I do have a serious question to ask those that advocate changing the manager at the end of the season, if he fails to achieve a suitable benchmark:

Who would you realistically replace him with?

I've seen this asked a few times but no one has had the balls to name a name. I'd really like to know who people think would realistically come in the summer and improve our chances of winning the league over Rafa. This is not a loaded question, and I'm not having a pop at anyone, so please don't take me or the question apart. I'd just like to canvas opinion on this point.
It's easy to distract fat people. It's a piece of cake.

I have balls mate, don't worry about that.

IF Rafa was not here next season then I would only look at one man taking charge............. Guus Hiddink.

Hiddink is a good manager but over 60 and tied down to the Russia job. If Chelsea couldn't prize him away, I don't think we would have much chance either.

Mourinho is a funny one. He would split opinion amongst fans but certainly has something about him. Going back to when we replaced GH, knowing what I know now I'd still pick Rafa over him, but he is a live candidate I guess. That is, as long as he'd be willing to come and we could agree his departure with Inter, neither of which I'd take for granted.

IMHO Frank Rijkaard is not fit to lace Rafa's boots. There is a huge gap in managerial quality between the first two you mentioned and the last one as I see it.

Not having a pop Sarb, but I asked the question as I couldn't really come up with any suitable cadidates myself.

No worries mate. Was a good/valid question

I think Rijkaard is a good manager with an attacking mentality. We've got some solid defensive players and some good attacking ones if they're allowed to have more of an attacking mentality, that's why I think Rijkaard wouldn't be such a bad choice

how long would you give him to adapt to our league?

If a new manager came in and we got rid of rafa, how much time and what do you expect from the new man?

Premiership within 2 seasons? euro trophy within 2? what would be his requirements?

5 seasons to win the Prem red g. I think that is adequate time.
