Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Besides if you balance it out equally between youngsters and first teamers you'd still beat all but the very best sides.

Does anyone why Benitez won't send our talent on loan? Is he skeptical about the lower leagues and their training methods? Surely an education into proper football will toughen some of the players and their over inflated egos. I heard Neil Mellor say on the telly that under Trevor Brooking at West Ham, he played some really good stuff and was really learning things however under Pardew, he was frozen out which made him more determined to prove himself at Liverpool which he kind of did under Benitez until he got injured again.

He seems to send most of them out on loan when they are 19-20. Think he wants to keep them at the club for the first couple of years to learn how he would expect them top play then loans them out to see if they can cut it.Originally posted by Ben Tover View PostDoes anyone why Benitez won't send our talent on loan? Rafa is caught in a catch 22 situation and the only way he can win is if a world class youngster breaks through i.e. Owen or Fowler. These types of players are very rare and will break through at any team.
There endeth the discussion.
Its bad enough pressure when a full select XI play. One 'youngster' plays, doesnt have a world beater of a game and his confidence would be shot.Bill Oddie, Bill Oddie, put your hands all over my body.

Interesting thread this..... Can anybody tell me how young Adam Pepper is progressing at the Academy.... Apparently when he was just 11 years old, eight Premiership clubs were racing for his signature...
Then a few years later, when we signed him, he was Everton brightest youth prospect..... Now he’s moved up to the Academy and there is no talk about him anymore, can anybody tell me how is he progressing?

Not sure - he seems to have scored a few goals - the Academy thread is probably the place to look/ask.Originally posted by Guinness View PostInteresting thread this.....
