I genuinely hope this happensOriginally posted by Sarb24 View PostPUT ME ON IGNORE
The only fighting/insults in here are started by the pro-Rafa brigade because they can't accept a differing viewpoint on the boss.
Reggie,Dww, MrM, please cancel my est account. I can't be bothered with this internet war crap. Life is too short to be falling out with people on an internet forum. I'm not posting anymore

I'm sure you're a nice bloke in the real world, but you're just irritating on here. IMO, and in the nicest possible way
I saw a dead fish on the pavement and thought "what did you expect?"
There's no water round here stupid, should have stayed where it was wet

First things first - we never delete anyones account.
Secondly: It is a real shame that any poster feels that they have to not post because their point of view. However I think that both sides of this apparent divide would do well to respect the fact that other people may entirely rationally arrive at different conclusions from the same evidence.
At heart everyone is here because they support Liverpool and I see no reason why we shouldn't be able to discuss the team we love without resorting to insults and/or condescension.
It would be appreciated if everyone could leave out the commenting on other posters, rather than the content of their posts. I think this probably applies equally to both camps too."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."

Better modding in order to prevent endless repetition of ill-informed guesswork posted with misplaced confidence might also be a good idea.Originally posted by dww View PostFirst things first - we never delete anyones account.

Suppose you have a physicist and a sociologist standing at the side of a field, observing a set of events unfolding on the field. The physicist does [describes] it using the terminology of mass and velocity and frequency of radiation and the rest. And the sociologist does it by describing it as a rugby match.
May the Lord bless this post.

Perhaps a kindly mod can put all your crap into a single thread where you can rant your opinion of Rafa and no-one need ever read it.
Weren't you the poster who was so anti-Rafa at some point last season and then started backtracking, accompanied by some embarrassing apologies? So the answer to my question was yes.Originally posted by Sarb24 View PostPUT ME ON IGNORE

Probably - it's something we are discussing. It is a hard thing to get right though.Originally posted by Neil Young View PostBetter modding in order to prevent endless repetition of ill-informed guesswork posted with misplaced confidence might also be a good idea.

neil that was almost shaggyesque
i must say i read everyones comments on here wether i agree with them or not. sarb thinks rafa wont win the league with us - he could well be right, who knows."Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.
"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

No, I don't think so. Sarb's comment was plainly a response to my comment. The fact he didn't answer the question but has threatened to flounce off (much as he did last season, if memory serves) I merely take as evidence to support my supposition.Originally posted by bobbyfallon View Postneil that was almost shaggyesque

As for him being right, yes, it's possible and I've acknowledged that already. However, you're missing the point if you think that's relevant to what I'm saying. I don't object to his opinion on Rafa (although I don't share it) and I don't object to him expressing it (despite his pathetic attempt to suggest the opposite). I object to him inflicting it on us at every turn..

The thing is I think it really does cut both ways. The problem has only ever been partially about the content of posts.Originally posted by bobbyfallon View Postneil that was almost shaggyesque

It has almost become a self perpetuating cycle. People who perceive that they are in an 'oppressed minority' of less optimistic posters putting in dismissive/condescending comments to get their revenge in first. Then we have more optimistic posters starting conversations off defensively knowing that people will start bringing certain topics and a certain opinion into the conversation no matter what the LFC related topic and the irritating 'You don't see xxxxxx posting now' sort of provocative posts.
It all adds up to making the tone of the debate and often the topics repetitive and tiresome."The man who never alters his opinion is like standing water, and breeds reptiles of the mind."
