Lucas didn't do anything at all. Yes, he can play the simple ball but he seems to really bottle it in individual duals against juggernaut players. More often than not he was pressed and didn't bother advancing the play rather squaring it to fast pressed Alonso.

Lucas is not the standard required at Liverpool - he has been here for two years now and there hasn't been a sign of improvement. He might be still highly rated across Europe so hopefully we can get our money back.

He's certainly not a world class centre mid......like the three he was playing against on wednesday. Did you seriously expect him to brush off Essien, Ballack and Lampard like they were pub league players?

He's not great by any stretch, and i think he should probably be sold at the close of the season (for his own good really). But the stick the lad gets for not being a Kaka type player is just stupid.....and IMO make the fans look like thick cunts.

He has improved IMO. He doesnt get knocked off the ball anywhere near as much as he did at first. He's far better in the air than he was when he arrived also.

I'm with you Harv. He had an average game but that was better than 5 or 6 of his team mates. I certainly don't expect him to rise above his team mates and take the game by the scruff of the neck. He's unlikely to shine when everyone around him was poor also.

he was average and probably is not good enough, but aurelio and Skrtel were the worst on the pitch imo.
