We obviously need a RB to give finnan some competition for his spot. I'd be very surprised if alves came at any time never mind Jan. I'd imagine Rafa would once again turn to the spanish market.

As for CM I'm not unhappy with Zenden as cover. Granted he's not pulled up any trees as yet but he's still a class act & needs time & games to settle in.

Since when? And don't claim that because he did well playing central mid at Middlesbrough qualifies him of being worthy of the Red Shirt.

To be totally truthful, I'd prefer Potter in the centre to Zenden.

        The ultimate put-down.
I'm playing all the right notes. Not necessarily in the right order. I'll give you that, sunshine.

I've seen enough already mate. It was the same with Cisse, by this point we should've seen something that suggested that they have LFC quality, and so far?; nothing.

I mean look at Kuyt and Gonzalez in comparison, they've already made positive impacts in the same timeframe as Bellamy and Pennant.

I'd prefer Stevie Gerrard but that's another topic isn't it?

As has already been said, I'm convinced we'll go all out for Alves in January. Whether we'll get him is another matter, but he'll be the number one target in my opinion.
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

How would you fit Crouch into that view? He looks a lot better value for money now than at the same stage last year. Pennant and Bellamy seem to try hard enough. It may just need to click into place.

I take your point, but having watched Crouch closely early on last season, I could tell he was going to be a vital player for us, it wasn't about the goals with him, he came in and instantly improved the team. Yes the scoreless run perhaps lead to some people jumping to conclusions on him, and I suppose the same could be said about me towards Pennant and Bellamy. But watching Crouch early last season I always thought that he looked an LFC player, I don't get the same feel with Pennant and Bellamy. My first impressions tell me they won't make it.

Fair enough. I hope you're wrong though.

Hard to argue with that, but i'll try

Pennant i agree fully. Bellamy, while granted he has been abysmal for us - has shown genuine LFC class in the past for other clubs. I just think he has a case of big club nerves, nearly looks like he wants it too much. It's obvious he's lacking in confidence - judge him properly after he's banged in a few goals. At least he's trying and working hard - if he wasn't doing this then i'd have already written off 6m.
                          ...
