Whatever failings the site and this thread have the best way to overcome them is for people to contribute positively.

I think scully's post is very good and it would be appreciated if people could try and suggest questions that might actually be useful for the OP.

Good point, there;s a lot of whinging and bellyaching from people who haven't posed a question for him. Easy to criticise and all that

            Dirk,

All footballers seem to have nicknames - what do your fellow LFC players call you?

And what do you think of Fleet Foxes?
Thanks very much for being ‘This Mornings’ Farmer’

              Q. In the time since you joined Liverpool football club, what is the single most impressive thing about the club that has caught your eye, that stands us apart from other clubs and that made you think wow!...what a truly great club this is.

Do the local lads(Spearing, Darby) have a chance of getting into the first team as regulars?(especially Darby)

Rather be bored than uptight with a sense of humour bypass

I cant speak for anyone else, but in terms of my post, it was JUST a ballsing joke. Harmless, surely?

New year, same old misery guts around here (not directed at you MrsBrum).

Implying that your childish questions are better than none at all is a dubious way of assuming the moral high ground.

OK, 2 questions: Dirk, what do you think of the growing tendency among fans to boo their own players?

How did it feel scoring what you knew was a consolation goal in the 2007 Champions League Final?

Aside from the piss take questions, there's about THREE proper ones on this thread that arent just cliche'd bollocks (IMO of course). Which is possibly why a few of us just decided to mess about a bit.

I didn't imply that and you're saying the question about resolving the Israeli-Palestine conflict is childish.
Well that's your opinion, but it was simply posed in order to remind people that maybe ther are more important things going on in the world in a light-hearted way.

I'm not assuming any moral high ground, but I don't see the point in moaning about people posting light-hearted questions when the same people can't be bothered to come up with a better set of questions.

Actually I would genuinely like to know this....

Dirk, in light of recent newspaper revelations that Steven Gerrard's favourite album of all time is Phil Collins' 'Greatest Hits', what is your favourite record of all time? And who are your favourite bands/artists?

                              Dirk,

In the context of your performances at the club how much of you, as a player do you think the fans have seen?

How important are the fan's opinions about players to the players themselves?

We all sympathise with you over the loss of your father in a pivotal season for you. How much did that affect you, and what could the fans have done to help you?

Did Rafa tell you you were going to play on the right, or did he ask you, and, if he asked you how much of an option did you feel you had about where you were to play and how?

It seems to some fans that the team is attacking with more fluidity. Has the teams training, with regard to attacking intent, changed at all in the last 12 months?

You are now being asked to play a sole role up front more often. What is Rafa asking you to do?

                                As for a question,

Is dirk happy about his current role in the team and is he actually a cyborg cos the lad just dosen't seem to get tired despite running in one match more than some do in a lifetime
