yesterday i thought we wanted a draw from this match but today i think its better for a chelsea win. I dont think chelsea have enough in their locker and its either united or us. the more games united lose the better.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]

Ok I'm assuming utd take 12 points but everton are in a position now to put a massive dent in our chances to win the title by putting us 4 points behind utd.
Only 2 points dropped I know but the pressure is on us big time. We have to win all of our big games now. This is the issue I've had with all these shifty draws we've had.
Oh well. Time will tell now won't it.

it will be typical for them to kick on and take three points today though, hope im wrong"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.
"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

it's the inescapable fact, even for the most optimisitic of us, that the draws against the **** teams mean we have to beat the big ones. and everton.Felching ≠ Gerbilling

I agree team selection was questionable but im sick of people saying Torres should have been on from the beginning, he was used yesterday as he should have been, a 30 minute sub. No point putting a player in jeopardy for another 5+ matches to win 1 game we should be able to easily win in anyway..."These stories have as much relation to the truth as an egg to a chestnut." - Racing Santander President Francisco Pernia

that's the daftest thing I have read in a long time. We do not play counter attacking football.Originally posted by el matador View Post
He has pedigree but in a totally different footballing climate. They won the titles playing the best counter-attacking football I have ever seen. On the break they were relentless and defensively brilliant and he's trying to instill the same philosophy in us but the EPL is a totally different kettle of fish.
Look at the possession stats for most of our games, we nearly always dominate the ball which is not a team set up to counter attack.
we were **** yesterday but it was almost identical to the team that hammered Newcastle. The difference was a couple of players did not perform and we missed XABI massively.

we are a counter attacking side. possession has nothing to do with efficiency and most of our goals are scored on the break.Originally posted by BG1973 View Postthat's the daftest thing I have read in a long time. We do not play counter attacking football.

When we have the ball we cant do anything with it because our full backs and wingers arent good enough to penetrate defences.

That said, in the 2nd half the ball must have been the cleanest used in the history of the Premiership. I believe it spent more time being wiped in shirts and towels that it did being kicked...."Our legacy begets an excellence that surpasses the particulars of who produces it." -- David Carr

all sides are counter attacking to a degree. we used to be more so because we didn't have players comfortable on the ball. But no way do we set ourselves up to counter attack.Originally posted by el matador View Postwe are a counter attacking side. possession has nothing to do with efficiency and most of our goals are scored on the break.

Maybe you're trying to say we're more affective when we counter attack? Which might be true.. but we press teams more than anything.
The Rinus Michels link explains it better than I can..
