    Will We Win The League?

There's a lot of doom and gloom here this morning.

Yes we were awful against Stoke and yet again we threw away points against teams we should be beating.

Yes, it was a great weekend for the Mancs with them thumping Chelsea and Rafa's attack on Whiskey Nose possibly already backfiring.

But we are still top of the league with seventeen games to go and still have our best chance of winning the title in a long, long time.

So, what does everyone think? Will we hold on and win the big prize or are all these dropped points going to come back and haunt us?

I'm feeling a bit pessimistic at the moment and think we have dropped so many points during so called 'easy' games that it will cost us in the end.

couple of weeks ago i would have said yes but i believe we are contributing to our own downfall
"Sky and Setanta have the right to choose their games and it will be the same for everyone. So Mr Ferguson will not be complaining about fixtures and a campaign against United.

"Or there is another option. That Mr Ferguson organises the fixtures in his office and sends it to us and everyone will know and cannot complain. That is simple."

If we have dropped all these easy points, can someone just explain how we are only one point behind the scum should they win all games in hand....or have they also dropped points they shouldn't have.?

I mean, we are looking at a lot of points according to some that should have been like taking candy from a baby, where have the scum dropped all theirs?

I just can't understand with us having done so bad and them having done so well that we are'nt 10 points behind now.

Anyway, i'm going to vote YES, we will win the title, is that an honest opinion or a fans hope and prayers....i'm not telling.

i'm feeling very low at the moment, had the manc fans coming into the office chanting their crap songs in my face.

key match will be against manc at old toilet. AND
we need Torres fit and scoring left right and center to stand a chance.

i think we may just miss out.
Lets just get on with the job and see how it pans out at the end.

I never thought we would win it this season, so as far as I am concerned our current position is a fantastic bonus.

However, now that we are in such a great position it would be criminal to throw it away, so I remain hopeful that we find our form again and more importantly play with a real desire to win every single game.

It's not the fact that we are dropping points that bothers me - all the top teams are dropping point this season.

What bothers me is that we have had three or four opportunities this season to take advantage of our rivals slipping up and to establish a commanding lead. We have failed to take any of those opportunites which would have given us a stranglehold on the top spot. If we had missed only one or two of these opportunities I wouldn't be overly concerned but the fact that we are continually wasting them is worrying and I feel we may regret not extending our lead when we had the chance.

it is still in our hands. yes we will win the title. we may even throw in a champs league as well beating scum on route. that will make it 19 -17 and 6-3. the whisky nosed arsehole will then concede the fact that HE cannot take them above us and he will retire which is when they will nosedive to compete with neverton every season for a uefa cup place
              in january we were doomed.

in august we will rise from the ashes of ****e and march on again

Your right, the dropped points may come back to haunt us, but it's how i expected it to be, this is the closest we've been, i expect Rafa to make mistakes, i expect players to be off form during such circumstances, the pressure on Liverpool FC is immense, more than any club trying to win a title has ever had to endure, i expect all this till we win our first Prem, i just think people underestimate the pressure OUR players play under compared to our rivals.

That's why when Ferguscum starts his mind games i hope to hear nothing but total support from fans for Rafa and the players, because they wont win this title without us.

I really don't take any points for granted in the prem, & i know the Scum have a better squad than us too, maybe i just feel lucky to be in the race all things considered, but i wont be giving up on us winning the title till it's not possible, and yes i'm as frustrated as anyone with some of Rafa's selections, but i'll only give support as long as the season remains a race to the title that we can win.

I think that would be an enormous ask, with the position we're in now.

We'd need 48 points from 17 games - 16 wins out of 17. Really cant see it myself.

The weekend just gone changed a lot in terms of mentality, points and momentum.

I don't think we will win it now.

                              I agree.

The pendulem has definitely swung in the Mancs favour after this weekend. They could be top by the time we play our next game which is not a prospect to relish.
