If you got 100 million for him, other clubs would know you have that money and would effectively mean 2 Keanes.

I wouldn't sell him for anything. He's the heart and soul of this club, and he attracts interest from lovers of the game the world over. He's completely irreplaceable and I'd rather have one Steven Gerrard than any five other players you could mention. Gerrard is the best player we've had at the club since Dalglish and Souness, and there's no-one in the English game who can currently perform at his level consistently. No team in our situation should even think about selling their best players whilst they're still at their peak.

He wouldn't though, especially when that sort of money is being waved about.Originally posted by Migselv View PostI would, if he wanted to go.
Especially now, after the Chelsea situation.
Stevie is now in that bracket of players that COULDN'T leave due to the amount of **** it would cause.
I'll put Giggs, Carragher, Raul, Terry, Totti etc in the same bracket.

such is my present apprehension about rafa's negativity and caution, i wouldn't sell SG in a fit. he's one of our only 2 game changers and has an element of sheer ability combined with unpredictability that noone else has.
it's hard to see who could possibly replace him. is kaka a rafa type player?Felching ≠ Gerbilling

The amounts of money that man city are putting into the game is ridiculous and no if they had bought us i wouldnt be happy at seeing liverpool spend £250m on the Kaka signing when there are people in liverpool earning £200 a week with mortgages to pay and kids to feed.
here's the funny thing in that if man city were to launch a £150m bid for both gerrard and torres our owners would personally drive stevie and fernando to man city's ground to hand them over and collect their cheque. Imagine that torres, kaka and gerrard playing for mancity.
Im sure at some stage they will come in for torres and probably gerrard and then its a case of lets see if the americans sell. I agree with another poster in that i wouldnt give rafa £150m to spend because instead of 7 torres we'd end up with 25 skrtels when we've already got one.[B]Sir Isaac Newton knew the universal law of karma - any action has its equal and opposite reaction.[B]
